Cell Block 9Great Escape Of Central Texas - TempleEscape roomIRLI've done several jail themed rooms, and this one was a bit different in how the split start setup. Had a lot of fun on this one. We didn't find it to be harder than chainsaw, but we do it 3rd after chainsaw and then Anubis, so we probably had a better feel for the style by that point. My son and I drove to Temple from San Antonio to do several of their rooms, and we had a great time. They have nice puzzle diversity, and there were never any leaps of faith needed to solve any of the puzzles. I appreciated the video screen flashing when you are 25%, 50% and 75% done. It helped us understand how we were pacing. The team was friendly, the facility and decor were good. I've done about 65 escape rooms over the last 18 months in San Antonio, Austin and Houston, and this was venue was actually one of my favorites. We'll be coming back to do their new rooms that are coming soon!

Your DedGet Out Of My Escape RoomEscape roomIRLI wasn't sure how I would like a 30 minute game, but I was impressed! It moved quickly and the puzzles made sense. Good mix of challenges that flowed well (wasn't too easy and wasn't too hard). My son and I finished with a few extra minutes, and we were taking our time and enjoying the humor! This group of escape rooms are all funny and unique!
Mansion MurderEscapology - San Antonio Park NorthEscape roomIRLsome great puzzles! but they aren't kidding with the difficulty rating. My son and I were flying through and barely finished in time. Would definitely not do this one if you are new to escape rooms. With that said, it is one of my favorites!
Weird HeritageThe Haus Live Escape GamesEscape roomIRLgreat experience. I've done 40+ escape rooms, and there are puzzle types at "The Haus" that I have yet to experience anywhere else. Can't wait for their next one!
Lost Tomb of AnubisGreat Escape Of Central Texas - TempleEscape roomIRLI loved the decor and atmosphere in this room! One of the best decorated rooms I have ever been to. The Purrfect PlanGet Out Of My Escape RoomEscape roomIRLGreat one for the family. Very clever. Will likely do again with my two high school sons. My wife, middle school daughter, and I loved it!
Rock the 90'sGet Out Of My Escape RoomEscape roomIRLDefinitely a unique room. It sounds funny to say, but it probably really does help to have someone who was alive in the 90s as part of your team :) . Worth it for the nostalgic element alone, and some fun puzzles too.
The Scottish PlayEscape Ashland - "The Scottish Play"Escape roomIRLReally good experience, especially for those looking for a bit of a different take than the traditional escape room themes. Did with my family of 5 while on vacation in the area. My son and I love escape rooms, and we thought this one was one of the better ones we've done. Nothing frustrating or that requires a leap of faith. Good flow. Decor and theme were on point and felt immersive. Would definitely recommend.
Master of IllusionExtreme Escape - ColonnadeEscape roomIRLI love escape rooms and was pretty pumped about this one going into it, but I struggled on how to rate this one. Ultimately I will give it a "like", but I would only advise for people who are veteran escape roomers and have more than two people, preferably at least 4, so you can divide and conquer. The room had fun decor, but as the other reviewers said, it felt disjointed and was absolutely not linear. I don't mind non linear, but there often didn't appear to be much reason on where to go or what to do next. It also felt like there were some leaps of faith needed at times. I was often wishing there was just a touch more guidance with each clue. I like the feeling of solving clever puzzles, but many in here felt like more of a process of elimination. I do most escape rooms with just my high school son, and just having two people typically isn't a major barrier to fun or success, but I do think it was for this one. I think it would absolutely be more fun if you had a bigger group.
