Akte0815 – Mord im Kontor
Escape Hotel Hamburg
Escape room
IRL
I wish I could say anything good about this room, but it was incredibly bad. The structure of the riddles was extremely confusing, we didn't really have any fun while playing and the riddles themselves just weren't interesting at all. Some things were also quite useless and I still don't understand why they even put them there. It's the worst room Escape Hotel Hamburg has to offer and I wish I could sugarcoat it in any way, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Alice Im Wunderland [Alice In Wonderland]
CineRoom Bamberg
Escape room
IRL
Alice in Wonderland was the last game we played on our trip and it definitely was a great start of the day because of it. This room is really adorable. The design is cute and there were some moments I reaaaaally loved (teaser: cookie). The riddles are simple, but that's exactly what I expected of this family-friendly room. The audiobook-uses were fitting and made the story a bit more immersive. Not a room if you're looking for a challenge, but a really cute room that I enjoyed being in and wouldn't want to have missed.
Alien BBQ [Alien Grill]
Illuminati Escape
Escape room

This escaperoom was a lot of fun! The set design is really nice and the riddles are short, but fun. Sadly, it went by pretty fast and was a bit too easy for my taste. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the whole experience and liked (almost) every second of it!
Bloody Hands
Key Zone - Lübeck
Escape room

Me and my coworker (both gamemasters) played this game. We were quite excited, since they stated on the website that it would be a little scary and it was also supposed to be their hardest room. The gamemaster did the introduction and my immediate thought was: "He does not want to work here." No motivation whatsoever and no real intention to get us to feel like we're in the story. The hints were okay, but wouldn't have been needed if some things in the room would have been placed better. The room itself looks fine. The set fits the theme and they give you everything you need. But there isn't much to do. While we didn't do anything for the first 12 minutes, we then solved the other riddles pretty fast and finished with 20 minutes left. If that is their hardest room, I don't want to know how easy their other ones are. The riddles itself were okay. Some were harder than others, but none of them really seemed to occupy us for too long. All in all: it is noticeable that the room is really old. A few years ago I might have rated it with a good grade. But nowadays a room like this isn't enough anymore. 2/5. Not recommended for people who already played some very good games before.
Cabin in the Woods
TeamBreakout Hamburg
Escape room

I played this game with three of my friends. It was our second escaperoom. The room itself has a great design. You actually get into the story quite easily and the gamemaster was also really nice and motivated. The props we got fit the theme and I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. I wouldn't particularly call the room scary - why? Because it consist mostly of jumpscares. In my opinion jumpscares aren't scary. If a horrorgame is supposed to be scary, there should be more about it than a few jumpscares. Luckily, the atmosphere was good enough to make it slightly scary though. The room was quite easy to solve, even though I was screaming everytime a jumpscare was happening. The riddles fit the story perfectly and were quite fun though. All in all: I had a great time playing this room. In my opinion it's a bit too easy though. 3,5/5
Das Geheimnis Des Jägers
Escapium Escape Rooms
Escape room
IRL
The design of this room is actually quite nice and I really liked that they used sounds for the right atmosphere, too. The riddles were logical and good to follow. Sadly, this room doesn't have any special effects or moments where you'd go "WOW!" due to only having mechanical riddles and mostly (way too many actually) number locks. We had fun though (especially the two people playing with me, since they haven't really played many other rooms themselves before) and the room is definitely not bad.
Das Geheimnis um Nostradamus [The Mystery of Nostradamus]
EscapeDiem
Escape room
IRL
I played this room with three of my coworkers. The set design was amazing, like always. EscapeDiem (or to be specific: Ellen) did an absolutely great job with designing this room and working on the details. It looks great. The story is interesting. The riddles were fun! No combination locks in sight :) The gamemaster (Ellen) was as friendly and motivated as always. She gave us hints when we needed them and coordinated us perfectly through the room. Four people are perfect to play this room. All in all: a really fun room. Actually my favorite from the EscapeDiem rooms. Ellen created something amazing with this one. 4/5
Das Heilige Grab
Finest Escape
Escape room
IRL
As ghosthunters we made our way to find out what happened to the last witch of Bamberg. The set design was incredibly well done - it looked insane! The story was very interesting and the actress' play fit into it perfectly. Sadly, in my opinion, the riddles were a tad bit too easy. We did take a long time for one of the riddles due to us not opening something (so 100% our fault), but in general the riddles were really easy to solve. I would have loved it if there was a bit more challenge. But in the end, it's a great room with an insane design and if you're already there because you played Tomb Hunter, then definitely play this room, too.
Das Meisterstück
Escape Hotel Hamburg
Escape room
IRL
This room is okay. We were 4 people (all gamemasters) and it took us about 38/39 minutes to break out. The story is fine and I liked how you actually get into the game. But I don't understand how this room can be considered hard. We also accidentally skipped three riddles (which apparently does happen to more groups than just us), which was a bummer. The set looks alright, but some pieces are really damaged already, which quite confused me since the room is supposed to be quite new. Not a bad room, but also not great. Definitely needs some improvements to make the game flow better and to prevent people from skipping riddles accidentally. 2,5/5.
Das Ticket ins Ungewisse [Outdoor]
Locked Room Dusseldorf
Escape room
IRL
This room was actually really really really great. The scavenger hunt before the actual game was a lot of fun and really smartly executed. The escapegame itself was pretty immersive, but also full of fun riddles. The riddles were logical and not too easy or too hard. The reasons this experience doesn't get a heart tho are that they used way toooooo many number locks, there were some technical difficulties (that the gamemaster sometimes didn't even immediately notice) and the gamemaster itself didn't seem too motivated. But still, the whole experience was fun and I really enjoyed the scavenger hunt and the escaperoom.
