The CyphstressDeadlocked OnlineEscape roomVirtual The production quality is really good! I managed to finish it in a little over 2 hours as a single player. They did a great job with the clue mechanism for an online experience, many of the clues or feedback were exactly what I needed. There was one part that having at least 2 screens would have been helpful but it’s doable with one person/screen. I do wish parts of these were print and play however because I wasted so much time trying to draw things like grids that felt like a bit of a time waste. They utilized a lot of different mediums and pages which was fun, but there was just a lot of jumping and open tabs because you never knew what you would have to go back to. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.
The Beach BarOnline Escape Rooms Ireland - OnlineEscape roomVirtual Probably my favorite that I have played from them. The set is so much fun and every puzzle made sense or fit the theme perfectly! I managed to finish it with one player and I think if you had small group playing online together it would be good as well. The ending was definitely my favorite part, the last puzzle is a great note to end on.
The Lost TempleCU Adventures In Time And Space - OnlineEscape roomVirtual Fun, but their other online game Floor 13 was a lot stronger story wise and puzzle wise. There were some great puzzles, especially the final puzzle. A lot of set out though.
AmnesiaPrestige Escape Rooms - OnlineEscape roomVirtual It was okay. A lot of fun references and cute touches that added to the theme. Bogged down by a few things like an item that looks clickable but isn’t so I spent time opening and closing a drawer trying to figure out how to get the item. I wouldn’t rate it as the hardest if their online games.
La Station Oubliée [The Forgotten Station]Immersia Escape Games - OnlineEscape roomVirtual Very fun game! The videos were hilarious! Also, for a room with so many locks, they were really clever in how they told the player which one to do!
Spirit Seekers Ireland: Clare AbbeyOnline Escape Rooms Ireland - OnlineEscape roomVirtual The set was great, a cool mix of real world footage and cool scenery. The puzzles themselves were tricky, made harder by the number of areas to explore. I recommend making note of EVERYTHING you find in each area so you don’t waste too much time backtracking. A lot of finding in the game, some which I loved, some of which was frustrating because it felt like I found some things purely by chance. I highly recommend doing this with a group because there is so much to explore and find.
D'vile's Curio ShoppeMystery Mansion Regina - OnlineEscape roomVirtual There’s a lot to love and more than a few things not to like about this room. A lot of super fun and creative puzzles that really fit well and made sense. On the other hand, WAY too much video with unnecessary commentary or the guy pretending to be scared that really has a negative impact on my experience. A few issues with puzzles where I had the code and then had to toggle (ie: from S to T and then back to S) to get them to open or where the placement wasn’t entirely clear. The set was very cool however, especially the more you were able to explore.
Safe House 360Lucardo Manchester OnlineEscape roomVirtual Flowed really well and the videos were fun and goofy. A lot of really unique puzzles that went perfectly with the theme!
Uncle ArtemisEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomVirtual Plenty of puzzles packed into one small room. Definitely on the challenging side without being too hard. The game was very nonlinear which was fun because there were plenty of puzzles that I noticed, figured I’d come back to when I had everything to solve it, only to realize later that everything I needed was there the whole time. Probably my favorite of their online offerings.
O'Brien's CottageOnline Escape Rooms Ireland - OnlineEscape roomVirtual An absolutely blast. I wish I could play it in person! The lore really got well with the story and the setting. The 360 view was cool but some puzzles are hard to see or a pain to navigate because you have to constantly bounce between things or you are inputting a word but you skip past the correct one and have to go through the entire alphabet a few times. It was a cool mix of things with some video and a few things thrown in just to keep you guessing. A lot of great sound effects as well that add to the eerie atmosphere. I managed to complete it solo as well which is one thing I appreciate about online escape rooms and they made it a seamless experience overall.
