Convergence Station [Immersive Art]Meow WolfEscape roomOther We were so mind blown by this place that we were left wondering why it has any blue on Morty at all. We didn't have enough time to do the q pass, but just spent a few hours wandering and discovering. There were enough interactive bits to keep us happy but we were mostly just meandering around in complete and utter awe. If you love funky artwork, do not pass this place up. If we ever end up back in the area, we will be making a return trip with the q pass to discover even more. It felt like we'd been transported to another planet. It's places like this that make you feel like magic is real. It's now a goal to visit every location.
Club Drosselmeyer 1942 [Immersive Experience]Greendoor LabsEscape roomOther This was a very interesting event to attend and we have no regrets on attending, though we did feel a bit confused a good chunk of the night. Here are our main takeaways. Firstly, we were on the wait-list and didn't expect to make it off the list, so we weren't as prepared to dress up as we should be. A good portion of the patrons did dress up, so that was cool to see, and I wish we'd had more of a heads up to fit in better. Dark and sparkly helped us not stick out like a sore thumb - but we wore sweatshirts, which turned out to be a mistake as the room did end up getting pretty warm through the night. The hallway was a relief whilst we were doing puzzles, but the interactions all happened in the main very warm room. The experience itself was... fun chaos. The singing, dancing, magic, acrobatics and more were all delightful. This was our first time so we were a bit confused on what to do, and it feels like we didn't end up doing too much, but we had fun solving the puzzles that we did solve! You need to interact with different folks to learn tidbits of information, but the room was very packed and you had to wait around for the characters, killing time. It was also very crowded to the point where you'd knock sweaters off of chairs, have to cut through a busy dance floor to get to characters, and honestly, it was a little overwhelming. At the end of the night everything was revealed, and we went on our merry way, a little confused, but pumped from the excitement of the night.
The Midnight GamesFactory of TerrorEscape roomOther I don’t know if I’d recommend this to anyone. The amount of hands on things you get to do doesn’t feel like it’s worth the money here. (I always like small groups in escape rooms though). A lot of it felt like luck rather than skill or puzzle solving.
