Everything, from entering the front door, to solving the final puzzle was a fantastic experience. One of the best escapes in Texas, genuinely. Book this experience - I promise you won’t be disappointed. Solved in about 3 hours.
Election DayAppleseed AvenueEscape roomOther Appleseed Avenue's Election Day was a great experience! From onboarding, rules, story building, we all had a fantastic time. Great attention to detail and excellent character building, something I sometimes feel other venues struggle with. Appleseed really drew us into their world and made us truly care about the characters in a way no other room has made me feel in recent memory. Attention to detail is unmatched, props felt authentic and fully realized, and the story was told in a creative, unique way. Fully custom software, voice acting, great use of sound and lighting and a strong story with relatable characters make this a top room in SoCal. I did feel some of the space felt underutilized, and a large portion of the game we were separated from our group. In addition, in our role, we spent a large majority of the time clicking on the computer as opposed to exploring and puzzling in the real room. Given the space constraints of the room available, they did a good job of making the place feel larger than it actually is, though a large portion of our gameplay was done on screen. I would have liked to see more in room puzzles as opposed to on screen ones.

Creative and captivating storytelling, fantastic set design and an emotionally resonant story. I wish I could experience it again for the first time. 100/10 Go with someone very close to you, or go alone. Best with 1-2 people. If you’re looking for something similar, go play What Remains of Edith Finch. One of my favorite games with a similar theme.
Parlour NouveauThe PuzzalariumEscape roomOther A really well done deck building puzzle game. Full of secrets and mechanics that award careful but confident gameplay, solid puzzling skills and a curious attitude. We drove down from LA and it was totally worth it. We only heard about the game through Room Escape Artist, and I’m glad we did. I hope the game sticks around, certain built in mechanics reward knowledge gained from a first play through. I hope we get to play again!
