Ruins: Forbidden TreasureThe Escape Game - Berry HillEscape roomIRLThis one was REALLY tough- but really good. The puzzles made sense and flowed nicely, we were just overthinking them a lot. Highly recommend, has a waiting room for the game that’s fully in theme.
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLSimple room- a lot of the puzzles were pretty easy to understand. This would be an amazing beginner escape room for anyone looking for one! Despite being simple, this was still a lot of fun, and the atmosphere was amazing! The staff is fantastic and SO friendly and I’m counting down the days until I can come back.
PlaygroundThe Escape Game - Grapevine MillsEscape roomIRLVery, very unique theme- and a lot of fun puzzles that make sense. One prop was broken but didn’t subtract from the experience, just made it slightly harder to solve in rhythm. The staff were also amazing and I highly recommend visiting!
Legend of the YetiThe Escape Game - DowntownEscape roomIRLThis one was one of the coolest rooms I’ve gotten to do honestly. Amazing and immersive set, difficult (but doable) puzzles. The staff were amazing!!
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - McKinneyEscape roomIRLRoom was very handholdy- the puzzles were all thoroughly explained on how to solve them but still difficult (probably user error). Couple of malfunctions with props/sets, but the GM was fantastic and super sweet. This would be a good room if you’re a fan of Scooby Doo solely for the novelty, but escape room fanatics should probably look elsewhere.
Mansion MurderEscapology - McKinneyEscape roomIRLContains a lot of puzzles that require giant leaps in logic- one doesn’t include a key for deciphering. A few malfunctions with props either not opening or not registering, but the GM was very helpful and attentive to fixing the problems as they arose. The GM is fantastic and worth visiting just to see, but the rooms seem old and outdated.
