The Keeper And The Fungus Among UsHeadlock Escape Rooms OnlineEscape roomVirtual This game was adorable and was way more fun then a puppet show had any right to be. The puzzles were not crazy hard but definitely had us thinking and were wonderfully integrated into the story. It was less of an escape room and more of an interactive show, but I loved it anyways and would absolutely recommend it as something that uses the online format to perfection.
The Shop of TheseusRECONEscape roomVirtual This game was like a great combo of D&D and escape rooms. Very similar to the Escape this Podcast style games, it had a ton of humor and some surprisingly good puzzles. The end was also a fantastic little twist.
The Traveler's Guide to Little SodaburgMeridian Adventure Co. - OnlineEscape roomVirtual Little Sodaburg is a great example of a game that takes advantage of the online format, instead of being hindered by it. Many puzzles required every player to be engaged and interacting at the same time, which prevented any one person from dominating the room. The story was cheesy but fun, and it was all just self-aware enough to be funny without being cringy. Overall, I would highly recommend a tour of this quaint town!
Avatar Stalker Phase OneProject Avatar - OnlineEscape roomVirtual Project Avatar is a absolute blast. The setting and story were such a weird combo of serious and hilarious that worked surprisingly well. It is much more video game then escape room, and the puzzling is fairly light. Make sure to move fast and don't die, and you'll have a fantastic time!
ExcaliburMindTrap Escape Room - OnlineEscape roomVirtual The room was very well decorated and it showed even over video. The puzzles were all clever, and the games master stayed in character which helped to immerse us. Our only issue were some lighting problems which caused us to miss clues and waste time - not a huge deal but still mildly frustrating.
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - OnlineEscape roomVirtual This game was not as immersive as some virtual games, focusing much more on providing a good puzzle experience. The interface for gathering clues was great, but I wish our game master was more in-theme instead of mostly just being a pair of hands in the room.
