Prison BreakThe Escape Game - San AntonioEscape roomIRLDefinitely lives up to its difficulty rating. The atmosphere and rooms were very fitting and immersive, and the puzzles were also a fun challenge to solve (even though they didn’t fit into the theme as much as their other games.) Most of my complaints with the room are personal gripes, such as little story, the dim lighting with no flashlights and sudden loud noises. Despite that, I enjoyed the room and solving the more complex puzzles with our GM assisting when needed.
Scooby-Doo™ and the Spooky Castle AdventureEscapology - San Antonio Park NorthEscape roomIRLAmazing escape room! The puzzles suited the overall storyline & theme very well, and the puzzles flowed very smoothly. The atmosphere was super fun & had lots of cool props & unique puzzles. We only had one malfunction (item getting stuck & not dispensing) but staff was quick to assist & return any time lost. The starting room felt a bit too crowded at first, but other than that it was an amazing experience for our group!
Gold RushThe Escape Game - San AntonioEscape roomIRLAnother fun room by TEG! A great atmosphere with unique puzzles, though some of them seemed to have odd answers or ways to solve them that delayed us for a while. The room is very dim, so I’d suggest larger groups bring more flashlights than the ones provided.
A Pirate's CurseEscapology - San Antonio Park NorthEscape roomIRLVery fun puzzles and atmosphere! Puzzles were very unique and provided a great challenge, and the GM was very good to us. My only complaint would be the images used for a certain puzzle being discolored, since they were needed based on color. Other than that, a great room!
Who Stole Mona?Escapology - San Antonio Park NorthEscape roomIRLThis room wasn’t one of my personal favorites, but it was still very fun! The room has a wonderful atmosphere and lots of puzzles that fit with the theme. The puzzles didn’t always flow well for our group, but we still enjoyed the game and solving the puzzles, especially with the little challenge at the end!

SOS / Save Our ShipLockdown On The LEX Ultimate Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLFor an escape room made for the museum, it was nice. The atmosphere was very cool and allowed you to work with actual boat equipment! The effects were very cool (a bit silly but fun) as well. While the story was nice, it was not always clear about what should happen next. The museum announcements were played along with our story announcements so that distracted us from our goals at some points (forgetting part of a task we heard verbally), and they were also a bit hard to hear if you weren’t in the main room. A lot of locks were around the room but it turns out they were all used for staff purposes, so the staff might need to label them more clearly. Our GM was very friendly and provided helpful hints, so we were able to escape with 10 minutes left. It also comes with museum admission, so still very fun despite its flaws
Escape From Planet ObscuraKalahari ResortsEscape roomIRLA nicer escape room for a younger audience. There were only 2 real puzzles and the rest was simply finding items or following instructions on screen. The atmosphere was nice but other than that, I didn’t care much for it
Orient ExpressGreat Room Escape - San AntonioEscape roomIRLA majority of the items in the room were broken/falling apart, so the doors and panels that actually required force to open went unnoticed. The puzzles did not clearly indicate if they were solved or what they opened, and we had to ask the GM if we solved some of the puzzles because we weren’t sure if we solved it or what it opened. One of the ‘windows’ to show the train was moving still had the input menu! As for our GM, they seemed very disinterested. When we finished the room, they simply congratulated us and immediately started cleaning the room: no feedback, no picture. This location definitely cares more for its newer amenities than its escape rooms.
The AgencyEscape the Room - San AntonioEscape roomIRLVery fun and unique puzzles! The items & clues discovered usually gave a clear indicator of its use or purpose, so gameplay usually flowed well. The atmosphere and different rooms felt very immersive and creative. However, due to the amount of puzzles, I would recommend a larger group when playing.
