PlaygroundThe Escape Game - BrooklynEscape roomIRLI REALLY loved this room. It is now up there with one of my favorite escape rooms from this company. There are many different types of puzzles which plays to different strengths in a group. This room has A LOT of puzzles, making it ideal for a bigger group and allowing people to split off to solve the puzzles most interesting to them. There were lots of fun and exciting moments.
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - New YorkEscape roomIRLThis room was good, but not my favorite at The Escape Game. Fair warning, this room was sequential. There were only 4 of us but sometimes there was a person standing around with nothing to do because only so many people could look at one puzzle at a time. One thing did not trigger for us and we had to call attention to it for the GM to trigger, but besides for that everything else was fine. Room was good, but didn’t super live up to the high expectations I have for The Escape Game.
Gold RushThe Escape Game - New YorkEscape roomIRLI have now done four rooms at The Escape Game and this is my second favorite room with them. Lots of exciting twists and turns and enough puzzles to keep a group busy. The theming was also nice!
Cosmic CrisisThe Escape Game - BrooklynEscape roomIRLThis room was a lot of fun and had some new high-tech elements. We had a group of 6 and this room is def. More suited to a group of 3 or 4. We flew through the puzzles pretty quickly after getting stuck missing 1 small detail in the beginning.
The DepthsThe Escape Game - SunriseEscape roomIRLWell-made room! Interesting puzzles, engaging story, encourages communication and teamwork, many puzzles to solve.
Prison BreakRed Button EscapeEscape roomIRLFun room! So many new discoveries to be made along the way. Requires teamwork and collaboration. Room designed well so you spend time solving puzzles and understand which components go together. Some puzzles have more than one way to arrive at answer.
Special Ops: Mysterious MarketThe Escape Game - New YorkEscape roomIRLThe game was okay, though we had a group of 5 and there were times where it was difficult for all of us to be working on something due to limited puzzles and space. And while there were a few collaborative puzzles, many of them were really only for one person. I think this room would work a lot better with a very small group of people. Some of the puzzles needed to be very precise. I’ve done a few games at The Escape Game and I think this is one of the older ones and you can definitely feel it compared to their other rooms. Still a solid room, but not as updated as some of their newer rooms.
Timeliner: Train Through TimeThe Escape Game - SunriseEscape roomIRLCute room, felt really fast. Puzzles interesting with multiple components but felt a little anticlimactic at the end compared to some of the other rooms here. But still an incredible room overall and worth doing!
Space StationRed Button EscapeEscape roomIRLThis room was fine, but my least favorite at this location so far (I’ve done 3/4 rooms). The ending felt a little anticlimactic and it wasn’t always 100% clear which answers went with which puzzles. The story was also very loose.
