Join the Illuminati? Don’t mind if I do. After being sent on our mission to find the long lost Holy Grail we worked through a great array of puzzles with a very clear flow and our objective consistently front and centre. A more mechanical room with some tech used along the way, it felt a bit like a classic room with extra polish. Always a fan of a costume, a super easy way to bring up the immersion and utilised very well here. A super satisfying room from beginning to end, Illuminati was a great start to our Excape experiences.

As the first room I played for the day, Illuminati was one of many super unique themes Excape had to offer with the experience itself being really impressive overall. The flow of the room is what stood out to me the most, with each clue cleverly numbered and worded to keep us engaged and moving forward, it never felt muddled or stagnant which is always a plus. The puzzles themselves were varied and nicely woven into the environment around us, feeling very much like a "classic escape room" in its mechanical nature, the space was moderate but filled with plenty of content to keep us rolling with a few fun twists and turns thrown in. Not super difficult but full of satisfying solves, definitely one of my favourites at Excape! Shoutout to Kaja and the team who were amazing to chat to all day :)
