Discover the world of pirates and become part of a treasure hunting mission! This exciting escape game calls treasure hunters for a pirate adventure second to none. A long time ago on the Carribean seas sailed the Spanish Galleon, Castoria. Captained by Zak Barrow and crewed by a gang of murderers & merciless cutthroats. Plundering ships of all kinds along India’s Malabar coast, Barrow was a Pirate, one of the most infamous Pirates of all time. Barrow’s ship Castoria battled with the India Merchant, a huge treasure ship of 350 tons. In rough seas, the merchant vessel fired but due to a sudden ocean swell, the shot missed its mark. The pirates threw their grappling hooks, bringing the two ships together. And rapidly boarded the ship, soon Captain Barrow was in the possession of one of the greatest pirate treasures ever. The ship disappeared in 1722 and was not seen again until now! So me hearties, all hands on deck, find the clues, solve the riddles, find the treasure, Then dare to escape, you have 90 minutes but fail, and remember – dead men tell no tales Are you ready to meet Zak Barrow, find the treasure and escape the Pirate Ship

Very nicely themed and immersive room - well decorated and some unique puzzles as well which I haven't seen before. A couple of the puzzles were a little obtuse but this is a minor comment. As with all of Extremeescape's rooms, you can really sense the level of investment and detail that has done into it.

Not broken but a clue simply wasn’t there when it should have been. We went when it had just been repainted and two of the clues weren’t where they should have been. A shame really as it’s lasted in the memory but still excellent all round

The set was great. Didn’t feel we enjoyed this as much as others though. The puzzles weren’t ones we really enjoyed too much. But there were some good mechanisms behind some of the puzzles, particularly the one ‘spinny’ bit.

100th Room for us as a team. Was actually quite quick for a 90m room. Getting old but beautifully done, lots to do, clever puzzles. GM / owners a bit aloof and not very engaging, maybe living of reputation now.

So glad we made the trip to Disley for these games for a birthday treat. Made to feel really welcome and started with this one, on advice after a call in advance when booking, which we knew was an older game but was still great, great fun to play. So well made, perfect hosting, well worth doing

A great example of the pirate room. Good mix of observational puzzles, riddles and logic made for a really enjoyable experience.
The puzzle theming for this room is really great. The ships wheel puzzle is a nice communication gameplay that is both funny and infuriating (in a good way). Lends itself to the players with a keen eye for detail and deduction. The whole thing flows really well.
Pirate theme has been done many times, but this is a great example it done well.
We discussed a few of the puzzles afterwards and I was really glad to hear that the owners are still tweaking and improving to get the best out of this room (which is already very streamlined)

I’ve always had a soft spot for a good pirate room, and this is a good pirate room! This is the oldest room at this venue but I found it hard to tell. The overall puzzle design may feel a little dated (nothing here will probably surprise you but old ideas still have the power to surprise) but they flow well and will test your overall puzzling skills. The theming and scenery is first rate and all puzzles are on theme.
