IRIS is a world-first artificial intelligence program; a computing advancement that Exodyne can’t afford to have offline. It has been shut down by a bitter employee trying to sabotage the company’s success. Your team has been sent in to get IRIS’s systems back online. But maybe, the employee wasn’t so bitter after all.

A fun room to work through with probably too much content for the 50 minute time limit, Shutdown is easily the most challenging room I’ve played at a Strike venue. I think the concept of this room is really fun but the flow left a little to be desired and coupled with some fiddley tech issues made for a moderately frustrating experience at times. The storyline was cool and really put us on what felt like a genuine time crunch, the urgency of our mission being very apparent. It is pretty high tech through most of the room with a mix of mechanical stuff here and there. The noise from the room over was also pretty apparent in this experience, could’ve probably had some more ambient sound or music to dull this. Auto-solves are also in this room so be aware if that’s not your thing.

Last puzzle didn’t seem to work properly. Also another puzzle that took a lot of fiddling to get it to accept the correct answer.

Good puzzle! 3 rooms and defs lots of challenges to work through! A lil on the tougher side and they’re also got a red herring or two ! Very clever !
Gameplay is good ! Lots of puzzles and some of them very very long! Finds that the automation tends to kick in and solve some puzzles very quickly making it tough to get a perfect score!
No background music but IRIS talks a lot which is cool!
Staff are literally the best!

This was surprisingly complicated. Lots of puzzles for the time frame. Was easy to get stuck for long periods of time. The room gives clues, but these were few and far between at times and sometimes didn't help. Overall was a decent room but not a favourite.

This was the first room we did at Strike and as experienced escape room people we were surprised by how tricky it was. Once you get the hang of the style of room it’s easier, but both speed and skill are required! Awesome design, including computer run monitoring that opens up the doors to the next rooms automatically either when you finish all the available puzzles or are running out of time. Lights, interactive items and noises! Far and beyond what you’d expect from a escape room inside a mall.
Was designed to be hard to follow the sequence of puzzles. Locks in the first rooms couldn’t be unlocked until the third etc.
