198 escape rooms
For this hour long experience, my hubby and I finished with 10 minutes over but I would still consider this a successful mission. This room was meant for a group of 4-5 to do. With two people, we had to work really fast and I’m so grateful that we had the time to see how the whole story plays out. The puzzles were enjoyable although the journal was not as helpful as we were lead to believe (so keep that in mind). The tech was pretty cool and allowed us to be fully immersed into the environment. Finally, as a pro tip, there will be a lot more crawling and moving back and forth than your usual escape room - so just assign someone in your group who does not mind small spaces and could physically do those things. Overall, a solid room! Thank you Kelsey and Paige for accommodating our time change since we were driving from Houston to Austin just to do this escape room. We would love to come back and do the other rooms (especially the Cabin series)!!!

Any room at escape hour will not disappoint. This room takes at least one person who is able to crawl and climb and doesn’t mind small spaces. You have to be quick on your feet and have a keen mind to complete within the timeframe.
There were a series of interactive puzzles that allowed us to immerse ourselves in our environment.

We definitely had some climbing, crawling, and moving back and forth in this room. It made it really enjoyable.

There are a lot of puzzles and locks to solve to reach the end. We played with first time players both times we attempted the room and have failed to complete. We have completed more intense rooms, but this room has become our crux. It makes more fun and exciting when it’s challenging. We’ll be back to complete this room.

One of the more immersive rooms we have done. Very tough with only two people, but we managed to squeak by with some helpful hints. Unique and fun hint delivery system. Overall a really great room.

One of the best I’ve been to in Austin there’s so much to do in this one and the theatrics and design were on point. Very well done and worth a detour for

Game master was excellent, and kept us moving through puzzles. This has been one our family’s top rooms - we really enjoyed The Crypt!!

One of the most involved rooms I’ve ever done. There was only one part I didn’t like. The part where everyone has to wait while one person solves a puzzle. That person for our group said it was the best escape room he’s ever done. Not just because of that one puzzle, but of the total experience. Definitely do this room, you won’t be sorry.

Something didn’t drop when it was supposed to, but they immediately told us and had us tap it and it came right out. So no harm no foul.

You better have someone willing in your group to crawl around, preferably two people.
Only a portion wouldn’t be accessible.

The Crypt was our second experience at Escape Hour and we loved every bit of it. The set design and use of space was incredible, and we felt like we were solving puzzles the entire time, never standing still. Although not a huge space, the gameplay forces communication in unique ways that led to an even better experience.

Super fun, great use of space! The room kept going on and on, and the puzzles were clever. Might be my favorite room!

First things first, the standout element of this game is its physicality and use of space. You think it’s over and it just keeps going. There’s also a TON of puzzles in this game. You will not win if you don’t divide and conquer. Although a lot of the set is very clearly foam or wood, the rest of the experience completely makes up for it. This game is a ton of fun and anyone with enough people should try it.
Fun puzzles, but not very tied into the story or theme.
Definitely looks makeshift in places, but the set is so elaborate and sprawling that it completely makes up for it.

This game uses space incredibly well, down to every foot.
Not very integrated into the experience, but it’s definitely crypt themed.
