We got stuck on a lock that we had the code for and the guy wouldnt even tell us that you had to push and then pull the lock. And then at the end he cackled. Rude and totally against the culture of escape rooms. If we didnt get the puzzle - that’s different
Many number locks, physically locks were unintuitive like needing to push and pull the lock

This room was so much fun! Very interactive and huge. We had five people in the room and there was plenty for each of us to do together. Highly recommend!

I had an absolute blast playing this one! So immersive and some quirky details that makes it fun. Puzzles were self explanatory but not at all difficult. There are some keypad locks in here which kind of makes sense depending on who you ask, but it is really a great experience overall. Our GM was awesome giving us hints through their hint system and I was so immersed in it that I spoke with a mafia accent.

This escape room was pretty interactive and followed a non-linear format. The props and the set design really enhanced the theming of this room, and they did a great job at utilizing the space that it had. Each puzzle led to another pretty smoothly and had a good blend of puzzles. Even though they primarily had Gen 1 tech puzzles, the puzzle reveals were creative and satisfying to complete and had a few lock-and-key puzzles as well. Due to the physical, I would recommend a team of 4. More than 4 may make it more crowded and less gameplay for everyone. If you’re skilled enough, you could easily play with 2 players. This room really emphasizes on teamwork, memory, and collaboration, and it was a mkt of fun to engage in.

The gameplay was fun and was conducted in a non-linear format, so it was perfect to divide and conquer as a team. It was very engaging and interactive, but some of the puzzles did show some wear-and-tear and some compartments didn’t open properly. A lot of gen 1 tech puzzles, but still some perfect A-ha! moments for sure!
I truly enjoyed the set design of this room. It really made you feel like you were back in the Prohibition Era through the wood flooring, hidden secrets, props, and background music.

This room is on the older side but still has its charm. We finished the main room with lots of time left over, but spent the next 20 minutes doing a lot scavenging for their extra credit which really wasn't that rewarding in the end. It was just something that we decided that we might as well do. I think this room needs to be updated overall, so I am giving it a thumbs down.

I did this room with 6 other people and it was FAR too many for this room. I maybe would’ve enjoyed it with like 3 people, but it felt like there was too little to do and we got out with AMPLE time

(I played this room 3 years ago and only just realized I can post in depth reviews on this app) I really enjoyed the aesthetic of this room, but I didn't personally enjoy how the hint system worked. My group and I got stuck for large portions of time, and it felt like artificial difficulty. The game master was incredibly sweet and definitely made the experience that much better.

This whole venue has 10/10 rooms! This escape room was on the difficult side but the atmosphere shined. The game master was awesome and really got into the gangster/informant role. There is a side objective other than getting out to find all the money. We could have escaped sooner but my group decided to find all of the collectibles, which was hard! But we finally did. We were told this room is changing theme soon, so experience it while you can!

Let me provide context as to the negative review. My group just finished doing the Curse of the Black Knight and wanted to keep doing escape rooms so we opted to do another one at this location. The last part of this experience became a scavenger hunt and honestly felt like a complete waste of time since our group got through all the other puzzles quickly. The room is non-linear so there are enough puzzles for folks to do by dividing and conquering. The ideal number for this room would probably be 4-5. It’s similar to Tipsy Tailor in that there is another objective besides escaping. The puzzles are fairly generic however and I don’t see the replayability that other folks shared in their reviews. Our game master was very real with us about how they should revamp this room and I agree. It’s a solid room but compared to the other EscapeX Games, I think this one is pretty weak.
