The Killer Basement

This was my first experience at Epic Escapes and I was a bit disappointed. Our game host failed to mention to us that we needed a magnifying glass with a light and never passed them out to our group before we started (we found this out at the end of the game after we had already finished). There was one particular lock that was impossible to see without some source of light and took us a bit of time to unlock. Our game host was very aware that we were struggling and never offered to bring in a source of light for us. There was also an entire trick in the game that we didn’t get to solve because it was broken. On top of it all, it took SEVERAL minutes for us to receive clues and it seemed like our game host was distracted throughout our entire experience. We were never allotted our time back and barely escaped due to these issues. The game itself was alright and the puzzles fit the theme, but all the other issues throughout the game took away from the enjoyment factor.
