This room was a disappointment. A few things in the room didn't work the first time. While the theme of the room was cool, the puzzles didn't seem to fit it. The puzzle design had some cool ideas for about half but the rest just sucked. But by far the worst part was the gamemaster. When discussing at the end, she stated that kids solve this puzzle and my arrogance got in the way. In reality, it was simply a guess for the solution. She couldn't explain logically how to solve the puzzle, only that people just get it by accident. This is poor and then to insult the guest is very poor. Overall, I would not recommend this room

The gamemaster was rude and insulted us. Instead of explaining how one would arrive at answer, she stated kids just guess at it and get it. Very poor.

Olivia was an excellent game master. From the moment we walked in asking if we could make two game work at the end of the night. She offered to stay 20-30 minutes late to give us time to play back to back games. The endeavor: thematic and narrative through and through. Such a fun experience and totally recommend it to all escape room players. It should be considered for a golden lock award by Terpeca and Morty. Project Gateway: less in every way. Still fun. But lacking a lot of connective reasoning. Some puzzles were just illogical and didn’t fit any narrative sense. Sequencing DNA? The story is shut off the gateway. It felt like a nonsense time waster with no explanation as to why we’re doing that. All in all we had a great time and wish we had as fun a game master as Olivia any time we come back to Houston.

Gameplay

Disjointed puzzles that followed no narrative chain in any way.

Atmosphere

I like space and sci fi so I had big hopes for this room. It felt like a space base but looked like a white box with 8ish puzzles to complete.

Customer service

Olivia was an excellent game master. Funny and informative. When it came time for the extra clues we all got a good laugh.

Game tech

High tech

Buttons, RFID item placement, voice activation, and even typing in a password o na keyboard. There are lights and sounds all neat but again felt like they didn’t share a narrative thread at all.

it was okay as a room, but there was one puzzle I strongly disliked and it left a bad taste in my mouth

A box with puzzles scattered along the walls. Zero imagination. Zero flow. One of the worst I’ve done.

This was a fun one! The goal was to close a portal to another universe. There were about five or six challenges we had to accomplish before we got to the final step. The room was well decorated, but did still feel more like a game room than a fully immersive experience. The challenges were interesting, but fairly simplistic and linear. The challenges and their rewards felt somewhat loosely connected to the story.

Very disappointing. Zero immersion, felt like a “room in a box” that was thrown together in a day. GM was nice but could not explain logic behind one puzzle. He said it might have been broken. Puzzles were sub-par.
