Soup Du Jour

This was a really fun escape room! Personally, I found it the least scary one at Rock City Escape, but definitely not any less enjoyable. The puzzles were creative and well thought out, and it was great that we could work on several things in parallel. The set design looked fantastic, and there were a few nice, surprising moments throughout. The “special effects” didn’t add much for me personally. Story-wise, I found it a bit odd that we could constantly see the chef, without any real interaction or sense of threat coming from him. One small downside was the ending — it felt rather abrupt. While the other rooms at Rock City Escape have a more rounded and satisfying conclusion, this one suddenly seemed to be over. That said, it’s definitely a room worth playing! Highly recommended if you’re visiting – the game hosts and overall atmosphere at Rock City Escape are absolutely fantastic!

Well integrated into an old monastery re-using some original spaces.

Pretty good room. Interesting concept. Set design wasn’t astounding but customer service was great and had somewhat interesting puzzles.

While not groundbreaking, the puzzles were generally well-crafted and stayed true to the room's theme, offering a mix of medium to challenging difficulty levels. One notable aspect was the interactivity throughout the space, where many puzzles were cleverly embedded into the room's layout, allowing for simultaneous exploration and puzzle-solving in the central chamber. The game's structure effectively utilized lighting cues to signify progress, aiding in maintaining momentum and clarity on which puzzles remained to be solved. The presence of a responsive game master, initially guiding the experience and later providing hints via speakers, ensured a smooth gameplay flow. Despite some areas where room elements could have been slightly enhanced for a more polished experience, the overall design and execution were commendable. With adequate clues and a 75-minute time frame, the room offered a satisfying challenge without feeling rushed. It stands as a well-rounded choice for escape room enthusiasts looking for an enjoyable blend of thematic immersion and interactive puzzle-solving.

Wir hatten hier eine unfassbar gute Zeit. Eigens die Location, in welcher der Anbieter zu finden ist, ist schon sehr beeindruckend. Wir haben in dem Spiel einen audiovisuellen Effekt erleben dürfen, den wir so bisher noch nicht gesehen haben. Das Spiel hat uns zu 100% überzeugt. Die Rätsel waren allesamt nicht schwierig und haben gut zum Erlebten gepasst. Ein Topspiel in den Niederlanden!

Out of the 3 rooms from Rock City, I would put this in second place (1st Poppet). Enjoyed it, very well designed theme & good attention to detail. Unique puzzles and environment. Definitely recommended.

Games master was in character right from the start. Setting is very unusual but works really well for game. Played as a 4 and really enjoyed it. Spooky theme , a couple of jumps but equally some parts where we were all laughing. Would recommend :)

It's great, everything flows well, the puzzles are unique, the atmosphere is nice and the ending is a nice surprise. I found the Poppet room slightly better but this is definitely a great room as well. 9/10

We had a fantastic time! Our game-master stayed in character before the game started and even after we won. She did not make us feel rushed in the beginning. She took her time to provide a quality introduction, which we very much enjoyed . Then, she shared with us the ways in which we all did particularly well, which I really appreciated. I didnt even notice that I did those aspects well , and felt very seen & acknowledged in a good way. Thank you very much!!!! 🧡💚🧡💚 That was very sweet. Soup Du Jour has passionate and considerate staff . We’re all really happy that we visited Rock City Escape.

An awesome game that unfortunately includes a part that kinda drags the quality down. I won't spoil anything and I definitely recommend playing Soup Du Jour, just know there is an asterisk to that. The atmosphere and set design is perfect, some of the effect I have never seen before and were breathtaking, and the puzzles are great as well. The story... well it lacks in all the ways most escape room stories lack. Go and ask about the daily special...
