210 escape rooms
The Gold Mine from Escape World was not an enjoyable experience. We didn’t manage to escape in time, which was a mix of our own inexperience, poor puzzle design, and hints that weren’t well-timed. By the time the clock ran out, we had barely made it through half of the game. Out of the four rooms I’ve played at Escape World (The Grand Prix, The Boat, and The Inca’s Doom), this ranks as my least favorite. It might be an option for newcomers, but only if there’s nothing else available nearby. Note (17/10/2025): Played it again in a group of four after 4 years. The room got updated and was overall OK. But some feedback was lacking in a few of the puzzles to confirm that it was done. We managed to finish with 14:44 minutes to spare. It is quite difficult for nine experienced players. The GM/Host was not that attentive, which it actually to be expected from the Escape World franchise.
