The Mad Hatter is in trouble. Save him from the Queen of Hearts without losing your heads. Step into Wonderland, where the Hatter has been accused of stealing the Queen’s Tarts. With Alice nowhere to be seen, it’s time for you to fill her shoes. You find yourself at the Hatter’s cottage. The table is set but no one is around. A sign on the lawn reads ‘Tea Party Cancelled by Royal Decree’. Curiouser and curiouser… Find and return the Queen’s Tarts in 60 minutes, or it’s off with the Hatter’s head. Chop chop.

14 escape rooms

It was a fun and cute room to play, some of the puzzles were very different and interesting however not the best Alice in Wonderland themed escape room I’ve done. I would still recommend as a fun room to play but not the best Escape Hunt has to offer.

Gameplay

A fun and lighthearted story although didn’t really hold up throughout the game.

Atmosphere

The set design was intriguing and added to the experience although some of the props leading to the puzzles were quite poorly made.

Customer service

Our games master was Jodie who was so lovely and friendly, she really got into character with the voice overs and helped us when needed.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

Quite a few puzzles were the same as the usual Alice in Wonderland escape rooms although a select few were new and interesting.

Story

The idea behind the room was exciting although the puzzles didn’t really stick towards the storyline until the very last puzzle.

Difficulty

Hard

The only reason I would class this room as being “hard” is because one of the puzzles was poorly made and took almost 15 minutes alone to complete. We knew exactly what we needed to do but because of how the puzzle was executed it was extremely frustrating.

Ideal number of players

Played by 2 people and had no issues.

Scary

Not scary

Was anything broken?

Yes

Based on seeing pictures/gameplay of the room beforehand there was a puzzle that wasn’t even there anymore which seemed to be because it was broken. As well as this one of the puzzles we had to redo multiple times (even though we had got it right) because it wouldn’t register.
