Game host was nice and hospitable. However, he was very difficult to understand through the thick accent and mask. Couple with the use of walkie talkies for clue, made the clues almost completely incomprehensible. The entrance was run down, ripped furniture and plain walls. No ambiance or theming whatsoever. The room was the same way. The room contained poor made props including painted cardboard pieces. The whole room could have been put together for less than $100. The walls were just partitions that did not go all the way to the top, so during your game you could hear others talking outside the room. One song..."I want to break free..." played on loop for the entire 60 minutes. The room itself is only 8'x8'. As to the actual gameplay, there were only 4 locks (all of the 3 digit identical locks) and one non-lock puzzle. Most of the clues within the room only made intuitive sense to the one who designed the room. There were things that you had to guess at because multiple possibilities were logical. The only way it was logical was if you thought exactly like the designer...down to which direction he interpreted to be the starting direction. Worst of all we literally could not exit the room. We tried to leave after the first 20 minutes but the door was keypad locked. When we didnt get out, he came to let us out but instead made us go through what we hadn't finished unlocking the last two locks. Then he left us in the room, shut the door, and made us unlock the door ourselves. Shocker...the lock glitches and when we entered the code it didn't open. He came back in and condescendingly told us to enter the code in...like that's not what we were doing. Then he locked us in AGAIN! AGAIN the lock glitches and he opened the door told us we weren't doing it right...AND LOCKS US IN AGAIN!!! We tried to leave but the knob wouldn't turn. He just kept saying the code and making us repeat it until the keypad worked. It was like being trapped in a horror movie. As we walked out the door, he very condescendingly told us..."You come back and play the jail. Its much easier for you." Out of 350 rooms, this is one of maybe 5 we've not escaped. I almost never leave negative reviews but I want to warn fellow enthusiasts. Avoid this company.

Particularly interesting or different
No
No. There was a storyline...but nothing in the room brought in the story. It could have been any storyline.
Story
The storyline didnt make sense. A chess player was kidnapped, and you have to find the kid...but supposedly youre a suspect too? And the whole gameplay had nothing to do with the room except the kid played chess and somebof the puzzles are chess themed or use chess pieces.
Difficulty
Medium
The puzzles, once the host gave you context made sense and were simple. But without hints the room had no context.
Game tech
Neither. All items could've been bought at Walmart or the dollar tree or a dumpster out back. Not being ugly...there was literally old cardboard used as a puzzle item.
Ideal number of players
0 Terrible game. But the room is only 64 square ft. I know because the floor tiles are 1 foot tiles and the room is 8 tiles by 8 tiles. And with a big clunky table and ricket shelves, it honestly felt unsafe.
Scary
Not scary
Minimum age
None. Don't waste your money
Was anything broken?
Yes
Keypad on door glitched. Mechanical locks were sticky.

Accessibility
Visually many of the items have tiny blurry photocopied print.
Easy to find location
No
The only sign is inside the window which appears to be tinted. Also, when no one is there and the lights are off, it looks like an abandoned shop from the street.
Parking
Easy
Safety
No
Not at the end when he refused to let us leave.
