No Crybabies Allowed Holy S#*t… you just secured an apprenticeship under one of the most acclaimed tattoo artists in the world: Paul Tompskins AKA Skinz. Now the question is - do you have what it takes to last? It seems like Skinz throws away more apprentices than the New York City Sanitation Department. It’s crucial that you and the team of other newbies make a solid impression on your first day at the shop. Show up, do your job, and don’t find yourself snooping around for anything that’s none of your damn business. You got that? If you can survive his apprenticeship longer than the first day, I’m sure it will make for one hell of a good story.

Austin was a great game master. The room had a great storyline and progression. Great little surprises along the way and puzzles were not as complicated. Overall this room deserves its awards.

We recently did Pins and Needles at Exit Games in Clearwater, Florida, and we absolutely loved it. We walked in with a bit of apprehension—it’s not every day you play a room that’s won multiple accolades. But not only did this game live up to its reputation, it far exceeded our expectations. Our game master, Silvercloud, was phenomenal—playing both the role of our GM and a variety of characters within the game. The “job interview” at the start was equal parts hilarious and immersive, immediately drawing us into the strange and quirky world of Pins and Needles and its eccentric owner, Skinz. After leading us to the back-alley entrance, Silvercloud wished us luck, and the real fun began. Once inside the tattoo parlor, we were transported. The environment didn’t feel like a typical escape room—it felt like we had walked straight into a fully functioning tattoo studio, complete with a killer soundtrack playing in the background. The level of detail was outstanding. It’s clear that immense care, research, and creativity went into crafting this experience. Every object belonged. Every puzzle was seamlessly woven into the story, guiding us naturally through the narrative without ever breaking immersion. What truly stood out was the logical flow of the game. There were no disjointed or random puzzles that pulled us out of the world. Everything made sense in the context of the setting and progressed with a clear purpose. The clue system was especially clever and thematic. Instead of a standard monitor on the wall, we were handed a cell phone and told it was a direct line to the shop’s manager. Hints came through text messages, which added another layer of realism and immersion. We don’t want to give away too much, because this is an experience best discovered for yourself. But if you're an escape room enthusiast—or even just a fan of immersive storytelling—Pins and Needles is an absolute must-play. You will not be disappointed.

Rating: 5/5 - Thrilling game that completely nailed the theme Here's why it's so great: ➕They nailed the theming, I'm not into tattoos but everything feels and looks exactly as I would imagine a tattoo parlor would. All the props were appropriate. ➕The on-boarding was thematic and felt in-universe ➕The GM/actor did a great job and elevated the game ➕Puzzles were good and flowed well, we did things that I did not expect but fit the tattoo theme precisely. ➕Large, detailed set with multiple areas to explore and hidden surprises, it was immersive enough. ➕Fun easter eggs for their other rooms ➕Many physical props/puzzles ➕Satisfying ending Mixed feelings: Pay attention to the warnings on their website, there is a vibe shift in the game and I'm not sure if I enjoyed the last part more than the beginning or middle. Some players would love it much more than I did though. Minor nitpicks: ➖For a TERPECA winner and a recently created room, I expected more tech, the puzzles were heavily padlock/key based. ➖I'm not a fan of the text only hint system which involved sending messages on a provided phone. We played as a team of 3 and I feel like it would be better with 1 more as there is a lot to do. I prefer Servants over this room but both are fantastic. If you play both, start with Servants before Pins.

Holy Sh*t this room was phenomenal. Loved that this room slightly piggybacked off their other room, just little Easter eggs that had us creating some interwoven narrative between the two. Loved the plot twist that was unexpected and very immersive. Read the f*ing description, this room is definitely not for kids, 18+ for a reason. There will be a lot of explicit language and disturbing subjects, don’t dock them for not paying attention when you booked the room. We loved our experience at Exit Games FL. Puzzles were so unique and it had quite a few puzzles I’ve never seen before. And SO many puzzles! My husband and I discuss each room and puzzle after a game and this one took us 1.5-2 hours to dissect out, which means that we were always working on something the entire 90 minutes, so while it is expensive, you definitely get that full time worth of entertainment. If you are okay with the explicit nature of this experience, go do it immediately!!!
