This is a difficult room to rate. It’s TRYING something different with the theme and aesthetic. I really don’t want to knock them for this effort. But… There are just too many buts.
They had a couple clever Gen 2 puzzles, BUT they mixed them in with a bunch of Gen 1 word and number solves. They had a unique, trippy, handcrafted environment, BUT there were so many exposed wires, nails, and unfinished bits that the immersion and charm were destroyed. Some puzzles had unique solves, BUT they were so fiddly that we were left questioning our right answers.
It’s a valiant effort, but they need to up their game as the industry evolves. With more polish and more tech, they could have a game that is a worthy addition to the modern escape room canon.
There was a clever idea of a map that showed the order of the puzzles. However, so much of the game was just finding numbers and letters to open locks. There was no sense of escalation, tension, or progression. Sure, the maps gave you an idea, but it wasn’t very thematic.
Some puzzles were unique, but it overall felt like a lot of the puzzles were just extra work for the sake of extra work. One puzzle even REQUIRES a phone, which breaks a cardinal rule of escape rooms and doesn’t feel necessary.
This gets a very hesitant thumbs up. It looks unique, but their attention to detail was only at the macro level. Close up, the charm falls away, as the cables, glue, nails, and seams all diminish the illusion. Also, this is a game that is dark for atmosphere, yet it also makes for a more difficult experience just for the sake of padding the run time. Still, I have to give credit where it’s due for coming up with something relatively unique in the market.

Difficulty was mainly in seeing/finding what we needed. The compass puzzle was also very fiddly, so much so that they’d already prepped a workaround.
Several props didn’t work or took too long to work.

Accessibility
This room’s lighting is dim, so it may be difficult for those with vision issues.
There is a lot of construction. It’s difficult to park in the small lot, and the street parking is nearly non-existent right now (September 3, 2022).
