40 escape rooms
Iceland’s only escape rooms – so we had to try it. This place is often fully booked. Lots of locals and teens when we went. We had read some tepid reviews but figured, “Hey, how bad could it be?” Answer: not bad, just… okay. One of the key props was unknowingly missing - possibly escaped before we did - and the whiteboard marker too. Both were handed to us once we asked for a clue. There’s a good ring light and phone stand for the congratulatory selfies. Sadly, no background music, so the ambiance was less ‘tense thriller’ and more ‘awkward group project in a quiet library’. All in all? Not terrible. Not amazing. But hey, we didn’t get trapped forever—so that’s a win.
Gameplay
It was logical and flowed well enough.
Atmosphere
The room is serviceable.
Customer service
The place was run by 2 young people, who had limited enthusiasm. The introduction and rules are done via a A4 sheet of laminated paper on the door. We had low expectations after reading reviews.
Easy to find location
