"Dr. Robert Kieling had Solitude Heights Asylum built in 1931 to treat the criminally insane. But there seems to be more to Solitude Heights than just a facility to help those in need. Whispers of mysterious deaths and unexplained phenomena are abound… It’s the first day and already rumors spread of patients going missing and experiments gone wrong. Your stomach rumbles, is that your nerves or was something wrong with that dose of medication the nurse just gave you. What do you do? Not sure, but as panic sets in the clock starts to tick faster and faster. You must act quickly, or who knows what might happen….. Will you be able to uncover the secrets? Will you survive long enough to escape the mysteries of the asylum? Save yourself while you can….. or you could forever be lost in the archives!"

The room is built well, the puzzles are fine, everything worked. I like the setup they have, how immersive the opener is, all that is great. The room didn't click for either of us but there wasn't anything wrong with it. Do both rooms back to back, they take you from one to the next without breaking the immersion which is a nice touch.
It flowed fine, pretty linear so don't go with a large group. We had 2 and no problem getting out.
All good, looked nice and nothing was broken.
The GM was great, she was working double duty and it was seamless, no complaints at all.

Pretty standard escape room
Pretty standard plot, nothing really special going on with the story.
Medium
There were 2 of us and we didn't have an issue getting out. We were offered a clue once or twice though.
Mechanical
It did have maglocks but nothing particularly high tech.

Spooky
Spooky atmosphere but no jump scares or anything like that.

Man, this was so much fun! So we did this and the follow-up game back to back (as is recommended) with this one (the older game) first. So much better this way. First off, the set design is perfect. It's a huge asylum. I will not spoil the opening/introduction, but it sets the mood perfectly with a mix of creepy & off-the-wall humor. The puzzles flowed well and were pretty intuitive. I enjoyed the hint system which kept things quite immersive. The live actors were the icing on the cupcake for sure. I had recently reviewed some other rooms in Vegas calling them solid but nothing new or novel. And that's the thing. One expects A SHOW when you are in Vegas. The Asylum series at Lost provides that for sure. I highly recommend you do this room and immediately follow-up with Playtime (in that order). You'll get the best experience.

Second room at this location. It did not disappoint. Employees are always really amazing, KAZ (SOSUKE) was our Game Master, I would come back just for him. Looking forward to doing the other room that they have here.

Good room for 2 with some fun puzzles. But we got out way too fast (about 30-35 mins), and we weren’t rushing at all. The only saving grace was that we did this as a back-to-back with Chapter 2, so the brevity of this room wasn’t quite as noticeable. Definitely recommend the back-to-back experience if you have the time so spare! The live actors at the beginning did a great job setting the scene and really created a positive interactive experience, but I’m glad they were not there throughout the whole experience. We liked being able to just do our own thing, and it was great that they honored our wishes to have zero hints.

We did this as a two-part room experience and while I preferred the other room, I still thought this was a great experience. The intro segment and journey into the room were incredible and got you right into the theme
31 escape rooms
The setup and the hint interaction is great. The gameplay is nonlinear, and there is so much to do. It was difficult as we only had 2 people and we BARELY got out. I would recommend at least 3 people, 4 might be better for this room. But it was so fun and immersive.

Spooky is kind of a stretch, but the elements are there if you look for them.

This game was a lot of fun to play. It had a really good atmosphere and set design, but our game master Lance did a really good job of helping with the immersion. Would recommend!

“Hint system was an integral part of the experience. It [made] it more than a collection of puzzles.“
