22 escape rooms
This room might have been doable for my partner and I except for the fact that this company pairs strangers up if needed - up to 10 players. While this may not be a problem, for us it was a complete train wreck. We had four young teenage girls with us that were “scared” and whined the entire time, had no idea how escape rooms work, and pretty much just got in our way and wouldn’t shut up with the whining and irrelevant conversations. In the past we have been to better places that will stop the game play if the group is completely dysfunctional like that. I’m glad we didn’t pay full price and used a Groupon or honestly, I would have walked out. The success rate of the room is only 37% to begin with so newbies shouldn’t be paired with people who have to babysit them while they whine because they are too “scared” even though the room wasn’t scary at all. Also, one of the puzzles I know I had correct. I checked it over and over. Even the game master said I did it right, yet the code used on the lock she did from memory didn’t match what I had. I think locks need to be checked for accuracy. The game master and another employee also mentioned the puzzle was their least favorite and one couldn’t solve it herself when she was learning the room. I also didn’t like the fact the game masters won’t give a clue for 15 minutes. This led to even more confusion with a group of dramatic teen girls with us. Not a fan.
