Great setting in an old court room but that’s about it. Again, Escape Lincoln style of too many obscure clues and poor flow. Nice end game but on the whole, not the best.

You must figure out the means, motive, location & suspect for this crime- which makes little sense as you’re already in the courtroom, but what else could you do with such a setting?! Located in an old courtroom the set isn’t as good as some of their others given the restrictions on use, but still a reasonable room. The company are limited as to how they can use this listed building & parts of the room are beautiful in a utilitarian way, but sadly lots of the elements in this room seem tacky compared to other rooms owned by this company. Added to that one of the key props not working, I walked away from this room having enjoyed the experience as I love escape rooms but nowhere near as much as I have their many other rooms.

I’m torn on this one! It’s set in a genuine old courtroom which is now a listed building so they can only make limited changes to it. The court only moved out in 1990, so the room is intrinsically linked to a century & a half of Lincoln’s criminal history, but the inability to modify it stilted the escape experience. Using dummies to represent people involved in the trial was tacky in comparison to lots of their other beautifully constructed sets & left us very disappointed.

Solved the crime using various techniques. It doesn’t make a massive amount of sense that you’d do that in the court room itself, but points for trying.

It’s a large space with lots of rushing backwards & forwards if there’s only two of you!

One of the key elements didn’t work & GM had to come in & fix it.

Rushing around the courtroom to check things on the dummies & search but nothing overly strenuous.

Like their Prison room where you start off locked in an actual cell, this room takes place in the actual court room that was used for real.  The Sherlock theming is potentially tenuous but there is a progression of puzzles, some are quite easy luring you into an aura of self confidence.   Its easy to get bogged down and there a couple of leaps of logic needed to solve the game.  Our host way Jayne who hinted us expertly throughout.
