The Midnighters

We ended up doing this room because something was broken in 2084. Not a bad room but definitely older. Mostly combination locks and puzzles involving colors and magnets. We enjoyed it, but kind of disappointed that we couldn’t do 2084. Maybe someday!

Logging this a little late, but I remember it being well done and flowing well. Somehow powered through one puzzle without the solution.

This was our second escape room at Olde City Escape, and while we enjoyed 2084 more, this room was still a solid experience. The biggest downside for me was the number of red herrings—some of which felt like remnants from a previous version of the room. They threw us off multiple times and made certain moments more frustrating than fun. A couple of puzzles felt less intuitive than other escape rooms I have done, but that said, there were a lot very unique and creative elements that made the experience enjoyable overall. We had a positive experience, and it’s definitely still worth a play!

Definitely our least favorite of the 3 rooms at this place. Play 2084 instead!

Game was fun and well produced, but the game master was rude and killed the atmosphere.

Loved the local relevance of the theme and how well the set pieces were devised! There were also some nice unique gameplay elements that I hadn't seen before in the dozens of other rooms we've completed. A real treat!

This is a truly excellent room, definitely my favorite of the three at Olde City. I'm not sure why some of the other commenters think this room is overhyped. The theming was well done, and there was a wide variety of very interesting, diverse, and challenging puzzles. Highly recommend this room!

if you’re going to be in Philadelphia, this is the room that you want to do. First off, I don't know if another game set in a boxing gym. Think Stranger Things: the 1980s vibe with some "unusual" things happening after someone stole an artifact. Bring your friends and your thinking caps and you might make it out!

This room is good but I think it gets higher praise than how much it excites me. The theme isn’t bad but it isn’t attention grabbing for me either. The name of the room is cool and the aesthetic for me is blah.
