50 escape rooms
Overall this room ranks in the bottom 3 rooms our group has done. We were frustrated with some of the puzzles and quality and feel of the room. It seems like it was a pretty good room a number of years ago but we just did not enjoy it. The host/owner seems to take pride in the room being”hard,” but it’s not really hard in a satisfying or challenging way. There are just many, many boxes and locks and you just have to figure out codes till you get to the end. We probably would have enjoyed it a lot more but it felt like the host did not want us to win, and therefore it felt a little adversarial. It’s really frustrating to get stuck on a puzzle and then ask for a clue that ends up only leaving you more confused. Also, red herrings….
Gameplay
Flow was just OK. So many red herrings, described (in my opinion, erroneously) as decor. Boxes and boxes. With locks and more locks.
Atmosphere
A few cool elements but mostly boxes and locks.
Customer service
Felt that the host while interesting to interact with in the waiting room, was overly intrusive and condescending during the game. Came so close to finishing, would have done so easily if clues where given clearly instead of sarcastically and if our host hadn’t gone MIA for 5 minutes during a part we struggled with. I know it may be controversial but we were the only ones there and given how close we were I was pretty disappointed to not have been given the chance to finish (would have been 3 or 4 minutes to get there)

The room needs a lot of TLC. Most of it looked like it could have been made in someone’s home office over a weekend and a trip to a craft store with a printer, laminator, marker and scissors. Not all of it, but most.
