This room was tough. The clues were very challenging, and we just could not get in synch. I would recommend but beware of getting frustrated.
It flowed rather well. It was fun and frustrating at the same time.
Not many special effects in this room.
The GM was fair. She assisted when asked and offered us clues when she saw we were stuck.

It was different and you relied on a lot of thinking skills.
The plot was good.

The clues were a bit challenging, especially the floor clue. We had a hard time with it.

My husband and I did this room off of his searching online. We love a Greek theme and this room definitely delivered. My biggest critique in retrospect is that it did require quite a bit of preexisting knowledge on the Gods and what they were worshipped for. We were fine cause we're nerds, but I can see how this could slow people way down. The sheer amount of puzzles is quite overwhelming. This was a very hard room for just 2 people.

This room solidified the Escape Effect as one of our favorite escape room companies! While we may have liked the Sherlock game slightly more, the theming is a dream come true for any Greek mythology fans. This oneβs also a great room for groups since there are several puzzles you can be working on at once. Our little group of 2 had a fun time running around scavenging, figuring out clues, and appreciating the Easter eggs in the room :)

Great game there are several puzzles that were lengthy and repetitive but not annoyingly complex. There were a couple cool reveals and the props in the room were solid.

It was a little bit lock heavy, but still very atmospheric. Nothing groundbreaking in the way of new puzzles, but what they did, they did well and with clever twists. We enjoyed it and plan to go back to do the rest of their rooms some day
The GM and the staff were great!

Not my favorite escape room. Our group (of 3) wasted about 10 minutes total on the physical puzzle which wasn't ideal for an escape room. A few of the locks could be tightened and a few puzzles could be touched up to make it easier to see. Otherwise the game flowed pretty well. Overall it was a decent room!

First Gen room (locks only) and it was very linear but still a decent room! Staff was friendly and helpful.

This room is pretty basic and some puzzles seemed designed just to take a long time to solve, but arenβt necessarily complicated. The set design is very basic and some of the puzzles were pretty creative. Play is somewhat linear, but without a true story. Other puzzles seemed completely disconnected (get a 5-digit number? Try it on every lock in the room.) Some puzzles didnβt make sense but we were still able to figure out the solution for word locks. Could remove a puzzle or two and reduce this to 60 min. I donβt think it would be possible to get through this without hints or nudges. Very pricey.
Set design was limited: mostly murals on the walls with limited props and decor.

Our last stop at Escape Effect was one that did not blow us as way still offered a good time. Great game for those well versed in Greek Mythology (but by no means is it needed to complete the game)! For a 90 minute experience there is actually not too many puzzles but the ones that are there definitely can fill the time. We were warned that there was a lot of math hereβ¦there was a good portion of it but mostly simple so no need to fret there :) The set of the game was solid! There was a decent use of space and the theme carried from room to room. Our biggest problem with this room was certain puzzles for a variety of reasons ranging from materials used to solve the puzzle, clarity of solutions and busy work. Though apart from those few we found the game flowed pretty well and would definitely work well with a group of three to four players. Overall a decent trip to round out our time with Escape Effect! Off to the next one :)
