I did like this room but out of all of the ones at Casa Loma it was my least favorite. Lots of stairs to get there and climb within the room (although what do you expect in a castle). The strangers we were put with weren’t great at communicating but it was still fun and had some interesting puzzles. I feel like all the rooms at this location are repeatable because the groups are so big there are things you don’t get to do on one pass through.

I’m not sure how this room has won so many awards - maybe they had private bookings? If we had been by ourselves, my group of 3 probably would have loved this experience. Instead we found ourselves biting our tongues to keep from “taking over” or arguing with strangers. (One puzzle took a group about 15 minutes; I could have finished it solo in about 3. But those “in control” didn’t seem to comprehend the directions… despite clarifications from the in-room GMs. I finally had to walk away and enjoyed the views out the windows.) At the conclusion, we were told that only about 25% of groups escape. Given the group dynamics at play, I’m not surprised. I don’t think it’s inherently a bad room… but plan to pony up the cash to make it private. (On the plus side, we didn’t hate the live actors — they were effective at keeping things flowing and carrying the story forwards.)

This experience was not for me, but I thoroughly enjoyed the castle setting. I gave this room a shot based on recommendations, but I disliked playing with strangers as much as I thought I would. Also, we had a group of 11, and there were only 11 puzzles. Generally my husband and I complete more than 11 puzzles in 60 minutes on our own. I was told afterwards that this is the easiest of the rooms here though. I think this could be a good fit for a family with kids, not enthusiasts.
Flow was fine and game style was original.
The set is in a turret, how can you beat that!
Live actors had a great sense of humor.

This room was one of my favorite rooms I have ever played. Were the puzzles revolutionary or mind blowing? No. But what the other reviews are failing to point out is how immersive this room is. You are literally in the tower of an ACTUAL castle exploring multiple levels of the castle itself. The immersion of this room is unreal. If you’re looking for a mentally challenging room, you might not be totally satisfied, but the immersion factor of this room is more than enough to make this one of the most memorable rooms I have ever done.

Definitely an easier room that is family friendly. Due to the nature of the puzzle structure there was a bit of waiting for others to finish but not a way to effectively help, so maybe less people would be better (although hard to do in public booking). Still a good room but others are definitely better at casa loma!

I wasn’t a big fan of this room. I personally feel that 12 people is too much for an escape room, especially if there aren’t enough puzzles to keep everyone actively engaged. This room has a public booking system, so you may have to play with strangers. Nothing really stood out in this room, and the puzzles didn’t feel too satisfying to solve. I enjoyed this room enough that I would consider doing another game at Casa Loma, but I am not in any rush. P.S. There is a lot of stair climbing to get to the start of the game!
