Indiana Jones and Lara Croft had it easy! There are rumoured to be great treasures in the lost tomb, but nothing beats the sheer adventure of exploring the mysteries of this ancient crypt. You’ll need the strength of both your mind and body to succeed here and overcome the obstacles found here – not least the rumoured “curse of the tomb”! Gather your team, work together and plunder the loot – but beware of getting too greedy…

The only warning this game provides is to not wear high heels. It should have more of a warning than that, it is very physical, you slide down a wooden slide and then have to climb up a ladder (which is not attached to the wall) then climb up a rope. There was no other way out - you have to climb up the ladder/rope or back up the slide. One of our team gets a bad back on and off so elected not to go down the slide. He was stuck in the room till someone came and let him out when we finished (hello fire safety?).
No storyline was explained before we went in, not sure there was one.
The escape room is big and the first 2 rooms impressive.
The GM barely spoke to us before or after the game.

Decided to give the Lost Tomb a go based on some generally positive reviews from friends but was overall pretty disappointed with the experience. To start with the positives, the room is enormous. The sheer amount of ground to cover and areas to explore is unlike anything I’ve seen in a while. Some pretty decent set dressing in a couple of rooms with some hit and miss lighting and sound thrown in added somewhat to the immersion. The main let downs were the lack of guidance, cohesion, and general safety issues. The puzzles were all over the place with an insane amount of guesswork and no real sense of what needed to be used where and why as the story was non-existent. There may have been one but our GM spoke about 3 words to us before putting us in, so who knows? Then there’s the physical elements which includes a wooden slide that absolutely catapults you into a wall, funnily enough the 2 mats and strands of hay did not cushion the landing. There were also ropes and ladders to climb both up and down which had no safety measures in place at all. While I think implementing more physical puzzles into escape rooms is a fun addition, this was done super carelessly. Not good. Overall I think this one’s calling out for a big old resign as the space is awesome but the content is a mess.

Entire section is dedicated to physically manoeuvring through the space. Sliding, crawling, rolling and climbing both up and down involved.

The room is very spacious and the decor is good. However, some puzzles are not intuitive, for example, a large prop is required to use multiple times without clear instructions. Transition between spaces requires a bit of physical strength, it was fun but also a bit unsafe and unnecessary...

I had an absolute blast/thrill playing. My only note would be that I find parts are extremely unsafe.

This room 110% is an WHS nightmare. Not sure how safe this room really is.

There is so much detail put into every room at Doctor Q. This does have difficult puzzles to solve but it keeps a great flow. This room has its own unique feel and is worth a look.

Puzzles were not intuitive and even after explained by game master; was still illogical. However, one of the largest and physically unique escape rooms we’ve ever seen and worth a visit
