Cottage Capers was such a delightful room, I loved this one so much. A very traditional type of escape room with great theming, setting and story. It's very suitable for newbies or those unsure about escape rooms. A particularly great theming touch was utilised that immediately drew you in and fleshed out the game world, delicious! When we arrived at Lost Locks we were greeted very warmly by Ryan who was lovely to chat to. Our game master (whose name I cannot remember) was great. This business has really wonderful top tier games and we can't wait to come back and try some more. The atmosphere is fun, the vibes are excellent and we're very excited to see what games they release in the future.

A profoundly family-friendly room, ‘Cottage Capers’ etched smiles onto our faces upon entering the game, and they remained that way as we moved through the rooms. It was adorable, cheeky and charming at every moment. It smelt incredible, too. The attention to detail and aesthetic of Lost Locks’s first room aren’t to be missed. The puzzles flowed well and maximised player engagement with the festive environment.

Gameplay

Flow was great, puzzles led to one another and we never felt like we were unsure as to where the code needed to be inputted.

Atmosphere

Smelt great, looked amazing and felt as if we were entering a real Christmas cottage.

One of my absolute favourite escape rooms I've ever played. A colourful Christmas-themed set and an adorable story involving the gingerbread man provided endless entertainment for the entire experience. Very much on the easier side, it can be very easy to over-complicate certain puzzles but honestly everything was so well done from start to finish I only wish I could play it again for the first time. The sweet smelling air was also a fantastic touch.
