Invasion

This was hands down one of the best rooms. Very immersive. A fantastic blend of lock and keys (Groots favorite) and tech (Mermaids favorite). Everything flowed so well. I felt like I was reading one of my favorite thriller books with some twists. There is a storyline and you should do breathless first if possible, but even if you don’t this room was very enjoyable. I do love the idea of rooms building on each other and a third room is coming/currently in production. It is creepy, which adds to the excitement. No live actors. We made some dumb mistakes in the end because we felt the pressure of time and used 3 of our 5 hints in the last 10 minutes (you get a bonus of time added to clock if you solve a puzzle and you get an additional minute added to your time to offset the tech delay of some portions - not trying to spoil anything but they make it so you’re not penalized for some cool special effects moments!) Challenging but not so hard it makes you feel stupid or impossible. One of the things that makes it great is the owner/creator is very involved and is taking a lot of feedback. It’s so cool to hear his thought process on the room if you have time to chat with him. Added bonus - the room is very affordable for how much detail and tech is involved.

We had a fantastic time here. Were at the stage where we travel for good rooms and this one did not disappoint! Worth the travel of about 3 hours to be really immersed in the story, challenged by the puzzles and really be in awe by the set and props. Everything felt so considered there was so much attention to detail and storytelling was engaging and immersive! We had a great time and was able to pull off escaping both rooms with barely enough time but felt so satisfied knowing we did it with two people, we worked well and any time we got stuck was because we were overthinking. We will definitely be back when the new room opens, thanks to David for taking the time to talk to us about our experiences afterwards, was so willing to listen to feedback I hope we were as fun to watch as we had fun in the rooms!!

The room and setting are spectacular. I have played this room several times and enjoy it more every time I play it. The set design is bespoke and ultra-creative!

My first escape room in years- and way better than the one I had done before. The atmosphere and theme were fantastic. Very immersive, with terrific set pieces and high production values. The puzzles were engaging and the climax was a ton of fun to put together with my group. Dave was extremely friendly and accommodating, and we loved talking shop with him after the game. Can’t wait for the next room to be released! Thank you for the great experience!

8.2/10 We are loving the story Mind Factory is taking us through with their rooms and Invasion only heightens our anticipation for what's to come. We highly recommend playing Breathless first if you can, as it sets the stage for the story that carries over into Invasion. However, if you're only able to play Invasion, you won't be disappointed. From the outset, Invasion impressed us with its immersive storytelling and expertly crafted puzzles. The room’s flow felt seamless, with each challenge feeling like a natural progression within the story. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into the puzzle design, and everything just clicked during our experience. For us, Invasion ended up being the superior room compared to Breathless, though we thoroughly enjoyed both. One standout feature is a particularly well-designed prop in the room, which plays a significant role in the overarching narrative. The level of detail on this prop is remarkable, and it definitely added a layer of immersion to the experience. However, as much as we loved it, we felt it could have been more integrated throughout the room, rather than just sitting in the background. Given its importance to the story, we’d have liked to see it play a more active role. Overall, Invasion at Mind Factory is a fantastic adventure for any escape room enthusiast. We’re excited to see what the team has in store for their upcoming rooms, especially after speaking with Dave, the owner. His passion for escape rooms is infectious, and it’s clear that they’re dedicated to taking their experiences to the next level. We highly recommend checking out Invasion, and don’t forget to play Breathless if you can. We can’t wait for their third room!

Very immersive, high production values, great puzzles with the right level of difficulty and innovative mechanics. What more could you ask for?

Great design … innovative …and it ties into a storyline with Breathless the other escape room at MindFactory. I highly recommend this room both for its ingenuity and organizational detail.

One of the best escape rooms I’ve ever done! Part II from the Mind Factory universe, this game was darker than Breathless but in all the right ways. Complete it just in time with 5 others but it could have easily and comfortably accommodated more. Fantastic puzzles and a setting you have to experience to believe. If you haven’t tried Mind Factory yet, play Breathless first and then run invasion. Can’t wait to see what they put out next!

LOVED this room. Our favourite of the two rooms at Mind Factory. We were in town on a Tuesday - a day when Mind Factory wasn't usually open, but saw a note on the website encouraged us to email about the possibility of them opening for us. Dave, the owner, emailed back immediately and said he'd be happy to open just for us. When we arrived he was the perfect host - we couldn't have hoped for a better experience. Invasion is Pt.2 of a 2 part story and the highlight of our trip here. The puzzles, props, atmosphere and story line were all great. If you have time, I'd definitely recommend doing both Breathless & Invasion (in that order) in a single visit. We left feeling exhilarated and accomplished!
