A Night At The Castle

The best room I've done from this company...which unfortunately does not say much. So, the good: it's in a cool building, the GMs are very nice, and if you celebrate your birthday there, you get some cool stuff. The bad: the rooms here just...aren't very good. They're EXTREMELY Gen 1 - lots of physical locks, lots of searching, clue books, reading things, etc. Once upon a time, this was a very good room for the state of escape games. But that was 10 years ago, and nothing has been updated. That being said, about 75% of this room was fun. The other 25% was either frustrating, or "how would I have figured THAT out" sort of thing.

My group of 4 left this room disappointed. Pros: These rooms were pretty amazing. Without giving anything away, there is an aspect of this experience that we haven’t seen anywhere else and could have put this room in the top 10% of our experiences. When you go from the first room to the second room, I think you’ll be “Wow’d”. Cons: Overall story is decent. But the devil is in the details. The actual clues and such were not well done. Some aspects were just ridiculous. Also, we were told not to move any furniture…not true. This could have been really cool…it wasn’t ☹️

This was a pretty crazy room from a thematic stand point and it was pretty exciting as you progress through the escape adventure. That being said the quality definitely seemed to take a hit as you went on. The puzzles themselves were fairly mechanical and not particularly interesting. In fact I would even say that they were mostly tedious and did not take a lot of ingenuity. They were tough not because they required out of the box thinking, but more tedious (think counting letters and words). Although I would recommend this room for the theme, I would not recommend the experience as a whole.

Not ADA friendly. A fun room (probably Escape Room USA’s best room). VERY dark and hard to see to solve puzzles. Some aspects were fun and some were tedious. However, I was definitely surprised twice during this game.
