Professor Moriarty's Steampunk Machines

Our least favourite room at Secret Clue. Although it looks "good", it falls into the same category of most "bought rooms" - on the big picture they look very professional, but ultimately they lack immersive touches such as props, small details and a real sense of atmosphere. The story is ok, but lacks identity to the Sherlock Holmes world. Puzzles are also ok, but very limited. We counted only 7 in total

This was my least favourite from the fives rooms at Secret Clue (at the time of play). Even though we got stuck on one puzzle, we were out quite quickly, as there were not many riddles to complete. The atmosphere was also the least immersive, in my opinion.

Steampunk Machines is the hardest game at Secret Clue, and we enjoyed the challenge! The story was interesting and easy to follow along during the game, and it was mostly clear what the next step is. The puzzles had some interesting logic and tech behind them, but sometimes it was a bit unclear on how to input the solutions. There were multiple ways that “make sense” but no indicator to which was the correct one, so sometimes it was a bit of trial and error. The hint system was also pretty cool, as there was an object in the game that you could use to decide when and for which puzzle you wanted a hint. Our Game Master was great, very flexible with the start time as we booked multiple rooms, and it was fun to chat about all the puzzles and common struggles =)
