We recently did this room in the middle of summer, which was a fun change of pace since it was holiday-themed and got us into the Christmas spirit early. The room was enjoyable and brought back a lot of festive memories. I’d consider it an entry-level room, perfect for families, friends, and even kids. The design was well done and added to the overall experience. I’d definitely do it again.

This was a nice experience! The puzzles are standard and good for beginners. The room is lock-based and pretty linear, so would recommend for groups of 2-3 (we did it with a group of 2). There were parts where it was hard to keep track of everything happening so staying organized is key. But overall the puzzles were fun!

Gameplay

Overall it was fun! The flow was a bit different from other rooms I’ve done and it was unclear what information matches with what puzzles sometimes. However, in the end everything tied together quite nicely!

Atmosphere

The atmosphere was good! It was Christmas themed and all the decorations and puzzles were on theme.

Customer service

Our GM Shannon was great and helped prompt us whenever we got stuck!

Particularly interesting or different

No

The puzzles are pretty standard.

Story

The puzzles were Christmas themed, but the puzzles weren’t very integral to the plot itself. This room is more puzzle driven and less story driven.

Difficulty

Medium

The puzzles are on the easier side, but the difficult part is sorting through and figuring out what to do with all the information given to you.

Game tech

Mechanical

The room is lock-based.

Ideal number of players

2

There wasn’t much physical space to stand in and the puzzles were pretty linear, so would recommend 2-3 players.

Scary

Not scary

It was Santa themed, so not scary at all.

Was anything broken?

No

Live actors

No

Physically active

Somewhat

There was crawling involved. Would not recommend for people with bad knees. Otherwise, there’s not much physical activity required.

Accessibility

Would require mobility (for crawling) and color recognition. The lighting is also very dim, so it was hard to see some things without additional light sources.

Easy to find location

Yes

Parking

Easy

There is a parking lot.

The personalization at the end of the room struck me as the most memorable part. While likely the lowest tech company in Tucson, this company has a lot of heart and personality. Their rooms (for the most part) aren’t likely to knock you off your socks, but they are enjoyable for Gen 1!
