Empire City: Superhero

This was a pretty easy room. It is designed to be two different experiences, and one side wasn’t working we were told, so it was a bit confusing when we finished and there were so many things that appeared not to be done. I think it would be a great starter room for kids who are interested in doing escape rooms. If you are experienced, do it with no more than 2 people. We had 29 minutes remaining, so we felt like we didn’t really get our money’s worth. Probably should have picked this as one of our first rooms!

This room is well decorated and has some very unique mechanics but was a little on the easy side.

The room had a great background story and the comic book theme and setting were very well done. The music in the room also added to the atmosphere. The puzzles were varied and most were unique uses of objects. The room was not lock dependent which is always a plus. The game master was enthusiastic, informative, and helpful with clues. While this room uses the same setting as the Villains version, the puzzles and areas used in both games were different. The objectives and story are different as well.

Room had great theme, but was on the easy side for experienced escapists.

The design of the rooms were cool, but the puzzles were very confusing with little hints to go by.
