Because the three magical crystals that the alchemist needs to produce his elixir of life have disappeared without a trace. It is possible that Benedictus no longer recognizes the formulas that he once developed himself and which indirectly led him to the stones. Benedictus urgently needs your help! Descend into the basement of the monastery and immerse yourself in the magic of alchemy. Search the mysterious workshop, solve exciting puzzles, elicit important clues from the talking raven and find the three life-sustaining crystals. Benediktus will thank you - and for several lifetimes!

A more traditional game that is definitely showing its age. A fun start, though we had tech issues. Of the games we played here, this one was my least favorite, a more simple set and mechanical puzzles.

Our 12th stop on our Escape Tour Germany 2024 felt reminiscent of The Witch’s Cabin in Bucharest (60 Minutes), with a strong thematic presence and some clever puzzles. One standout moment was a puzzle that triggered a Back to the Future sound effect—an unexpected but delightful touch. That said, a few puzzles felt more frustrating than challenging, which disrupted the flow and slightly impacted the overall enjoyment. We were a group of five experienced players tackling this room early in the morning, right after completing The Hidden Chamber at the same location. Despite some rough spots, the overall quality was solid, making it a worthwhile experience.

The beginning is very different and very successful! I don't want to write more because I don't want spoilers. The point here was to find the three life-sustaining crystals for old Benedictus. Sound, light and the attention to detail in the furnishings were also absolutely appropriate here. On the way to find the crystals, you need your senses and you can use them skillfully. We had a lot of fun with the puzzles and gradually found the crystals. In this way we were able to help old Benedictus and he will thank us forever. Here, too, there was a photo in the room, which was then sent in the form of a film poster.
