The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

We had just come out of doing the campground and were overthinking a lot. This is such a good classic staple escape room in terms of puzzles but the set design is unlike any other. A lot of dynamic pieces and the theming is all immersive. 13th hour knows how to build an impressive game.

The room was really fun and interactive - one of our favorites that we’ve done!

I think the reviews of this place made my expectations too high. The room itself was really fricken cool, and there was one element in particular that was just incredible. The puzzles were pretty easy and straightforward, and the design was awesome. That was all great! The thing I’ll say is- you can hear all of the other, scarier, rooms very clearly if they’re being used because you’re all in one huge warehouse. So through a lot of our experience we were hearing people scream bloody murder, and a lot of frightening sound effects that were really distracting. Our guide was also very distracted and fully entered our room at the end to help us with a puzzle we were already solving and didn’t need a clue for. So that took us out of the world. Idk the whole experience was very strange. But the room itself? Super cool. I think it just needed some music to drown out the other rooms

It was great, lots of fun and one of the best designed escape room I’ve been too. Very interactive

We came back and did another 4 rooms. For a total of 8/9 rooms and this was by far my favorite. Puzzle difficulty felt aimed at families and had some really show stopping effects and animatronics. But there are definitely some parts and effects that felt unfinished.

Very immersive and matched the theme super well! Must say though, one character was not up to par. Just a werewolf from Spirit Halloween... also, they were definitely triggering some puzzles remotely before we had properly solved them. That's a big pet peeve of mine, combined with the lackluster attitude of staff, was an unsatisfying experience.

This room came very much hyped up. Did it meet the hype? I’ve certainly experienced things in this game I’ve never experienced before and so in regards to immersion, yes- very well done, creative, and to me it’s exceeded the hype in that regard. Where it fell slightly short for me however was that the game was fairly quick (at least it seemed that way) and the puzzles were pretty straightforward and on the easier side. This would be a great room for beginners and for converting people to become ER enthusiasts. Not the most challenging room for experienced ER artists. Regardless, a very endearing and feel good room. The best of all the rooms here? It’s definitely up there. For me Campground is still the room, and I still rate the Grand Parlor higher than this, but I’m comfortable putting this at a strong #3.
