You are a group of low-level scientists working at the ominous Umbra Industries. Operating deep underground in a highly-secretive facility, you only hear rumors of dark projects well above your paygrade. In order to safeguard the world, and the company’s stock price, the laboratory has contagion lockdown protocols to prevent any of the insidious experiments from escaping. Bypassing these protocols is nearly impossible… As you prepare to leave for the day, a contagion lockdown suddenly begins. You search for your administrator and come face-to-face with the horrifying results of those classified experiments: zombies! As the last remaining uninfected personnel, your only hope for survival is finding a way to neutralize this biohazard threat and access to the airlock before the facility is sealed shut forever. You only have 60 minutes to find your administrator's key card while using lab reports and unique chemical components to create a vaccine. Can you finish before the facility is permanently sealed, or will you be trapped in the lockdown forever and join the zombie horde?

408 escape rooms

So this was tad better than the superhero room. I only say that because the set was a little more medical lab feeling. It’s still pretty bare bones. It’s the typical find a cure for zombie apocalypse before it’s too late. If Morty ever creates a “meh” rating, that’s what this gets. Some decent medical/lab puzzles, but really, that’s it. I’m sad that rooms like this survive and other good ones in Roanoke did not.

38 escape rooms

Lots of locks and random clues. Some locks were open or broke so they were essentially open. This resulted in incoherent nonlinear play where clues didn’t make sense, they were done already, and solving anything was very difficult. An escape room should be more than a box with pictures on the walls and some props with locks and clues.

Gameplay

Broken or open locks

Atmosphere

A box with posters and props. Nothing special at all. Cheaply done.

Customer service

Ok. No game master but several who visit during play to check on you or respond to a digital call signal.

Particularly interesting or different

No

Boring but hard due to out-of-order clue “finds”.

Story

Mediocre

Broken clues made everything confusing to track.

Was anything broken?

Yes

Locks failed, giving up keys and clues that caused unnecessary nonlinear branching. At the end, employee came in to say, yeah, this breaks often and when it does, the game moves too close to the end without clues to finish it making it nearly impossible. Help was read by and employee called and responding with an iPad.
