Mission: PEGASUS is a pretty linear game with some relatively long (maybe 5-10 minutes over the course of the game) opportunities for actor/player interaction. We had a lot of fun, but this mostly came from taking advantage of the improv opportunities the game presented - if your group isn't looking for that, you probably won't get as much out of it. A big part of how the game landed is the GM - without her, the game would be pretty forgettable. The set is a little worn, and some puzzles required fiddling to get positioning exactly right, but everything seemed reasonable. The setting isn't the most exotic (mostly an office setting), but the final space had a nice surprise, setwise. With memorable moments at the beginning, middle, and end, the structure of Mission: PEGASUS is more solid than most games. I wouldn't call it a top game (not that I think it's trying to be one), but it felt like more than the sum of its parts.

2 enthusiasts felt fine. 3 would probably be good too, but at higher player counts I think you lose out on as much per-player interaction.
