The rooms at The Escape Ventures are some of the best I’ve done…and the Neighborhood Watch room has been my favorite, thus far!! I wish there were more like this one around!
The room flowed really well! Puzzles were fairly easy to solve and nothing felt too difficult. The “nudges” from Riley were helpful but at times seemed a bit unnecessary.
Fun 80s themed environment! Loved the throwback music and games and posters! You feel immersed in the setting, which makes it all the more fun!
The GM, James, was top-notch!! Really friendly and played the role of Mr. Carey so well!!
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
It’s rated a 9/10 difficulty, but the actual game play wasn’t overly difficult. I’m sure it was rated a 9/10 due to the “scary” live actor throughout the game and the jump scares that occurred.
2 people was perfect. 3 would be fine too…but anymore than that may seem a bit crowded.
The live actor definitely brought the scare factor. And it wasn’t overly scary, but definitely got your heart pumping!
Since it involves an element of kidnapping, I would not recommend this for any young kids.
Mr. Carey definitely makes the game fun and interesting and a bit scary! All in all, it was fun but I can also see how live actors in your room can be a bit awkward at times.
Physically active
Somewhat
You need to be able to go up a set or two of stairs and be able to crawl into a small crawl space.
Accessibility
Would not be suitable for people with impairment issues as the room involves climbing stairs and crawling in a small crawl space.
