Runaway Train

We loved Runaway Train; one of our favorite rooms here in Asheville. There were just two of us so we did need to utilize all of the available hints (4) but we found that the puzzles flowed really well and we enjoyed solving them. The last few minutes were very exciting! It is a small space so I feel like more than 4 people would be too many for this experience. Three would have been perfect!

This room was a lot of fun! Megan the game master was amazing. The rooms atmosphere is appropriate and had a good mix of traditional and electronic puzzles. I’ve done breakout games before and the staff at this location is great!

Heavy on the math puzzles. Wouldn’t recommend for more than 4 players. We had a group of 6 and at least 2 of us were standing around most of the time. Did enjoy the monitors that acted as windows.

Flow was okay. Some might like this more than us, just way too math-based. Prefer a different kind of puzzle. Real, actual main complaint was the flawed ending. Won't spoil, but no matter how much time you have left on the clock, your time will reduce to about two minutes when you get near the end. This meant we didn't finish, despite being way ahead on the overall time schedule. Very dumb.

This was definitely challenging but overall a pretty cool game! Loved the intense ending 🚂
