I am a gamemaster myself. I played this room with my two best friends.
I wouldn't recommend it at all, to be honest. The reasons for that:
- The game isn't high tech or modern at all. At 90% of the time you just have to solve locks with combinations of numbers, letters or directions
- The room itself looks okay. It's nothing special at all and doesn't really remind you of Santa Clause's office
- Sadly, every single riddle is in English. That was not stated on their website. One of my friends doesn't quite understand English and therefore couldn't understand the riddle. I don't understand why they don't just exchange the english things for german groups. Since I'm a gamemaster myself, I know that that wouldn't take much more time when tidying up the room
- We had two different gamemasters (one left while we were playing, so the other one finished guiding us through the room). The first one didn't manage to take us into the story. She also didn't talk professionally at all.
The other one didn't seem attentive enough. He only gave us hints when we didn't need them (like, he gave us the solution when we already had it). When we really needed a hint, it took some time until he gave us one (even though we pressed the button). After getting out of the room, he also didn't really show any reactions when we talked about specific stuff that happened to us in the room (as if he actually didn't watch us).
- While we were playing we could always here people walking and talking in front of the door. This also made us remember the whole time that we were actually not in Santa's office, but in an escaperoom.
All in all: not recommended. 2/5.
Didn't really have a red string
No special effects, set design didn't really fit the story
Felt like the staff wasn't that attentive and they always gave hints at the wrong time
Particularly interesting or different
No
Physically active
