Jurassic Escape

Overall a decent room with a very fun theme and some unique setpieces. While the puzzles flowed well, there is some props/actions needed to be done that don’t make the most sense. Unfortunately, a lot of the props were not working, leading to some confusion on what was part of the game vs what was broken/part of the room. I would say this room is definitely in the middle tier of NYC escape rooms.

So, we apparently found a loophole (unintended) that allowed us to skip 5 puzzles and we ended up puzzled asking “Is that it?” as we finished with over 20 mins to spare. I saw mixed reviews for this room so I went in not expecting much but we had a good time and for the most part finished the room without any hints. I will say the room, decor is nice. Besides our loop holed experience, the puzzles we did experience flowed alright. As well as the nice little Easter eggs that allude to Jurassic Park. Would have been nice to have some music in the background. At the end of the day it’s a room that just reaches a “heart” reaction for me and I suppose one of the reasons is because I am a JP fan. If you’re one as well, I suppose you would enjoy the experience as well.

Ok I fricken love dinosaurs and there were some nods to the Jurassic Park movies so I had a blast. That said, a lot of these puzzles were vague and there were things that *could* have been used to solve them, but didn’t *have* to be used to solve them, which made things confusing because we were hanging onto stuff we didn’t need. But there was some really cool tech and the atmosphere was dope, I had a great time.

Great immersive set. Puzzles were challenging but not overly difficult. No knowledge of the movie franchise is necessary. Things triggered quickly so we were unsure if we had solved a puzzle properly or who solved it when multiple people were interacting with things simultaneously. Was able to debrief with the GMs.

This room was fun but not the most memorable. Given the theme it could have been way better and crazier but it was decent overall. Some of the special effects and design elements were really cool, and I appreciated that - but unfortunately a lot of stuff was broken which took away from our overall experience.

Fantastic room! Design element was on point and did well of assisting with the storyline. Puzzles were also very unique and fun. Some things didn’t work, but it didn’t derail our experience by much. Highly recommend this room for those who are fans of the movie. An Easter egg from the movie may be lying around….

I actually enjoyed this game even thought there were a few broken things and some logic leaps. I just can’t support this company after seeing the owner treat their employees horribly. There are so many other great rooms in the city to check out instead.

Awesome experience! Felt like we were dropped right into a Jurassic park movie! Technology was great! Super immersive and well paced!
