Enter a mysterious world of secrets. Local miller, John Olliver, is not what he seems. Where is he getting all that gold? He’s definitely been up to no good. His cottage looks rustic and full of interesting nooks and crannies but what is it hiding? Can you discover what the miller has stashed away? Is he even a miller? Could he, in fact, be a smuggler? It will take an intrepid gang of adventurers to explore the miller’s cottage and uncover its secrets. This escape room game is full of hidden puzzles, sneaky surprises and dastardly secrets. This is our first game with two different difficulty options. The Family version is suitable for children aged 8+ and is the perfect family adventure. The Pro version is suitable for those aged 14+ or more experienced escapers. Book to play The Smuggler’s Secret and find out what that crafty miller is hiding. We have a version designed with families and younger children in mind. Just let us know on the day if you’d like the family friendly, or the pro version.

Excellent teeming and fun puzzles. One of Pier pressures best.

The theming was really good, everything felt like it belonged. It took us a minute or two to get our head around a few of the puzzles but we quite often find that with a morning room / first of the day which this was for our team. Not my favourite at pier pressure but still a great room (loot the lanes and tea party were the faves in our group)

Its central Brighton, there are ample car parks but they are mostly very expensive. If you can use public transport I would recommend it

Really enjoyed this room. Can tell a lot of effort has gone in and the dressing is fantastic. We felt this flowed quite well too and all the puzzles had the right balance of difficult vs fun. Instantly became our second favourite at this company after lanes.

A really fun room! Not as large and complicated as some of the ones my brother and I have done lately -- our team of two escaped with a good amount of buffer time and no clues -- but it wasn't "too easy". The environment was charming and interesting, and several 'simple' puzzles were made more fun through mechanical contraptions. Some good 'aha' moments when we finally figured out something we'd been stuck on, and a nice flow where you have a good sense of your progress and can bounce between multiple puzzles when stuck. After our whole trip concluded, this was one of the ones I looked back on most fondly.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we booked with short notice and then got lost on the way! We also appreciated out GM's restraint with clues: it was satisfying to get out with none.

Really enjoyed the themeing and the attention to detail in this room. We had to work hard for finding the solution to one puzzle, but we amazed ourselves at finally getting to the ‘Aha’ moments in this one. A good room for families as puzzles can be amended for difficulty level to suit younger players.
A couple of sticky moments when we missed something had changed/been achieved but a good game on the whole.
Excellent build quality with plenty of detail to really draw you in.
Fabulous GMing as ever from the Pier Pressure team
