128 escape rooms
A very good room, very similar in structure and premise to Tres Cher Lock: investigate disappearance/murder -> find secret room -> stakes get upped -> save the school/world/stock market(what?). Just like Tres Cher Lock, it is very cinematic and the puzzles are very nice and feel very fair. We moved very well and only needed 1 or 2 hints. The birthday puzzle was my favorite. The only problem I see with the room is that the only way to advance after you single out a suspect is for the GM to notice that on the cameras, after which they enter the room as a live actor. In our game, they got confused with our progress and almost missed their cue. The live acting is also a bit contrived. It would be much better for the room if a system were devised such that players could input the results of the investigation at the computer (alibis/main suspect etc.), and the live acting scraped altogether. Alternative solution: just assume the murderer is Jim Key and spend the 60 minutes in the rocking chair. Weeee! 🪑🐷
