The Black Pearl

YYYAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I'm a simple man. I see a pirate room, I'm gunna play it. One of the better Rush rooms I've played, The Black Pearl was an enjoyable time! A nice design and theme, it gets a little off the rails when it turns Egyptian but maybe that's who the pirates were plunderin'. The puzzles were pretty straightforward with nothing tying us up for too long. Maybe a little "puzzle in room cause puzzle room" at times but hey, it is what it is. I'll see y'all on the seven seas, Egyptian loot in tow.

This is a quick and easy room with a small footprint. Whist the room is anticlimactic and underwhelming, the puzzles are acceptable. There’s nothing to dislike about this room, but it isn’t memorable.

A quick search for treasure on a pirate ship. Done in 25 minutes. Good variety of sensor puzzles, padlocks and combo locks, fairly straightforward code-cracking. We accidentally unlocked a late-stage puzzle waaaaay before we were meant to but left it alone until it came up in the puzzle-solving path.

We really enjoyed this room. Took the 2 of us about half an hour (can't remember our exact time) and we were left wanting more (in a good way). The puzzles were fun and different and the room definitely captured the atmosphere. There were a couple of things that we got distracted by but overall the flow was really good and our game master Laura was great and fun to chat with.

My absolute favourite pirate room to date, great set dressing, engaging puzzles and lovely staff. Definitely on the easier side, we flew through this one in about 30 minutes but still had an awesome time. One of Rush’s best. Shoutout to Josh and Laura!

Really nice room, really nice atmosphere and set design! Good flow between puzzles, although some where quite hard. Especially for non-native English speakers. A lot of props and decoration here that really makes it immersive and authentic but on the other hand maybe distracting and misleading, but maybe that is even wanted. Also a few little things here and there in the room that looked like puzzles but weren‘t and got us overthinking everything. In the end, a really nice room with exceptional and beautiful set design, though, and a nice GM :) Also, gotta say, room is waaay to dark. Couldn‘t even see the numbers I put in the lock, half guessing my own fingers..

It’s amazing. The room was exquisitely designed and built. The puzzles flowed very well thus I didn’t find it difficult at all. Escaped within 38 minutes (2pp) The decoration is extremely dope and the excellent attention to details. One of my favorite room.
