The world will end tomorrow if we don’t step in, our time travel facility has a strict rule about effecting the timeline, however, if we don’t stop his first phase before it begins, we fear we will never be strong enough to stop him. We are sending you 17 years into the past. A strange man that goes by the name of Scott Neila has been kidnapping people. We need you to get captured by him in order to search his apartment, find out what his plan is, and stop it before it begins.

Good solid room. On the easier side I would not call this a hard room. Not super scary but dark under tones and a body part or two.
Good flow solid room. Enjoyed the small fun things like spiders and the use of lights

This room was a lot of fun and had some unique twists that my husband and I really enjoyed. The setting was on the simpler side in the beginning but eventually opened up into a fun new space. Once entering the larger space, I was impressed with the little details and hidden little Easter Eggs. I wish we did a little better on time so that we could have explored it a little more. The puzzles were fun and there were several little surprises when you did things correctly. I particularly liked the pet terrarium and the stereo. Overall, this is a great room that gives you a satisfying story and some nice brain teasers. This room would have been helped with an extra player, but it was a good challenge for the two of us.

What I liked most about The Shift is that the owners used the space they had to create an excellent environment for the game to take place in. Sometimes escape rooms polish things too much and the environment stops feeling like a place you are, and starts feeling like an escape room designed to feel like the place you're supposed to be. This room feels like exactly what it's supposed to be and I really appreciate how will the owners used this space. The room has a good mix of locks, tech puzzles and tasks to complete. I saw another review about scares, but I didn't find anything scary about this room and would have no issues bringing a young child to play (though I am certain they would have more fun playing Escape Timeout!)
Again, great flow. We only asked for a single hint and it was due to us missing something, not due to the room.
If you removed puzzle specific elements from this room, it would feel exactly like what it's supposed to be.
Couldn't ask for more.

I am a GM here and I definitely recommend this room. Hands-on puzzles that are great for larger groups. Has some spooky elements, but no jumpscares except for a loud sound at one point. It’s a great time with puzzles that flow very well into each other and are pretty intuitive.
