Permanently Closed - We've been contacted by a nurse at Rockwell Clinic about a strange new patient they have. This patient can't communicate in any way; they're almost comatose, not quite awake, not quite asleep. They seem trapped within their own mind. Using an experimental medication, you'll be entering this patient's mind for up to one hour. Your mission is to find out who they are, help reconnect their memories, and discover how they ended up here.

Urban Mysteries Co has raised the bar in complexity, both in tone, narrative, and puzzle design with ‘Lucidity’. At times reminiscent of the melancholic mobile escape game series Rusty Lake, the designers have skillfully interwoven narrative into their puzzles, telling a poignant story of love and loss through the fragmented memories of a medical patient. The use of a tablet for solving puzzles and progressing the narrative introduces a fresh way for players to engage with the space, offering a break from placing objects atop sensors or rolling a combination lock. Some of the puzzles are quite challenging, so you’ll need to bring your A-game, especially if you’re keen to take on the additional side missions after the main game!

Gameplay

The flow was good and well signposted throughout, with symbols often being used as an aid in discerning whether a prop matches the current puzzle.

Atmosphere

Urban Mysteries visualised the inner workings of a patient’s mind in an interesting way. It is reminiscent of the Rusty Lake series in both its aesthetics and tone.

Customer service

Such a good room! My partner and I completed together and were so close to completing the side mission too! Well decorated, good flow to puzzles except for the last main mission one which took us the longest! A very good, well designed, super interesting concept that I've never seen before in an escape room!
